~{Chapter 10}~

Beepaw hadn't managed to fall back asleep. In fact, she hadn't slept a wink the rest of the night, all because of that darn nightmare. But she knew that this nightmare would one day become true if she didn't do anything about it. Except, right now, she was exhausted and doubted she could get up. Even then, it was only dawn. Yet, she still raised her head.

The apprentices' den seemed empty as far as she could tell, but different than what she remembered. That's when she realized, I ran away from, everything's alright, nothing serious.

The apprentice had been escorted by Darkstorm and his apprentice, Goldpaw, to the DarkClan camp, where she claimed to be Tuffypaw to avoid revealing her true identity. Sure, it wasn't the best name she could come up with, but she was running out of time.

"Hey, WingedClan apprentice!" a she-cat's voice interrupted her from her thoughts. Beepaw looked over her shoulder and turned towards the gray furred apprentice, "I heard that you ran away from your 'cannibal' Clan."

"Well... yes," Beepaw reluctantly admitted, I should've found a better excuse than that! What kind of birdbrain am I?

"That's the funniest thing I've heard in my life! I would be happy to say this to anyone who dares to attack my clan," the she-cat raised her head in pride, purring, "especially if a complete stranger is lurking here."

"I suppose I can't really blame you," Beepaw replied as if she were shrugging. She forced herself to stand up, then stretched before addressing the gray she-cat, "What's your name, by the way? I'm B- I mean, Tuffypaw!"

"Mousepaw," the other one meowed, lowering her head in a bored manor, "it's such a lame name. My final assessment will take place soon, so I'm hoping for a really cool name!"

"So, I'm assuming you'll be a warrior soon?"

"Obviously! I hope Hollowstar will choose a name like, I don't know, Mousebite! Ooh, that'd be so cool! But honestly, I just hope I don't get a name like 'Mousefoot'. Ugh, that'd just make me look so vulnerable, in my opinion."

"I think that Mousefoot would be a good name," Beepaw contradicts.

Mousepaw blinked, then gave a quick glare to the outside, "I have to go, my mentor probably has something for me to do, see ya!" she added to Beepaw over her shoulder before slipping away into the undergrowth.
