Glowstar's Past

After a SeaClan patrol leaves, Oakstar announces that SeaClan will be helping them in battle with Nightclan. IvyClan is outraged, Echowhisper tells Oakstar that their help would make them look weak, Ivyclan agrees with Echowhisper. Oakstar speaks up by saying that StarClan gave them the Oak Tree Patch and that Heatherstar knows that, but Echowhisper mutters that Ivyclan shouldn't accept the help from the other clans.

While every cat got ready to go to the gathering, Echowhisper vows that he would kill the cat who killed Tigerpelt in battle, saying that the Warrior Code said that a cat doesn't need to kill to win their battles. Foxrift tell Echowhisper that it applies to him as well, a bit annoyed.

When one of Willowleaf's kits go missing, Echowhisper goes out to search for Blazekit outside of camp with other Warriors. Echowhisper eventually finds Glowpaw and Hawkpaw helping Blazekit down the tree, signaling the other that he found Blazekit. Echowhisper asks the two apprentices what they're doing out of camp. Glowpaw responds that there isn't any time to explain and pass Blazekit to Echowhisper. He scolds him for leaving camp, telling him that Willowleaf was worried as if a fox attacked the clan. The tree Glowpaw rescued Blazekit from cracks and left her injured, Echowhisper ordered Hawkpaw to help her walk back to camp.

Glowpelt and a patrol notice that there was a trace of Iceclan around them, they go and find out that it's at Bracken Rocks. Echowhisper challenges Iceclan's deputy when he accuses Ivyclan of stealing prey from their territory. Thornclaw defends Thrushwing and growls at Echowhisper, who later attacks Thornclaw. Before Echowhisper could perform a killing blow on Thornclaw, Thrushwing gets in their way and takes the blow. He later dies of Echowhisper's attack, Sandstone tells Echowhisper that she will kill him and avenge Thrushwing. When the Iceclan patrol leaves, every Ivyclan cat gets mad at Echowhisper for killing Thrushwing as they only wanted peace. Echowhisper asks his clanmates if they wanted Iceclan to take Bracken Rocks and lose more of their territory. Duskfang snaps at Echowhisper and tells him that he crazier than a fox in a fit. Duskfang asks Echowhisper if he wanted Ivyclan to die and let the other clans take their territory, Echowhisper only replies with a growl.

During an IceClan attack, Echowhisper comes in to help Doveheart to chase away Snowfall. Echowhisper appears with a dead Doveheart, he let's go of Doveheart's limp body. Echowhisper explained what happen and tells his Clanmates that Snowfall killed Doveheart. During Doveheart's death vigil, Echowhisper leaves camp. After the vigil, Echowhisper is seen walking towards the SeaClan border. He begins to speak with Applepatch, who asked if he killed Doveheart. Echowhisper replies with a yes and admits that he didn't want to. Applepatch challenges him and reminds him that he wanted to be the best for the Dark Forest. Echowhisper questions his and their loyalty to their clans. They end their conversation and they both go back to their Clans.

When a IceClan patrol shows up in IvyClan camp, Echowhisper spats at them when they accuse IvyClan of taking one of their warriors and tells them that they wouldn't want an IceClan warrior in their clan, reminding them that one of their warriors killed his mate. Owlflight attacks Echowhisper in rage, but Featherstripe and Jaggedtooth stop the two fighting cats. Before the IceClan patrol left, they threatened IvyClan to get rid of Echowhisper themselves. Oakstar is furious with Echowhisper and tells him that he and Duskfang could've handled the situation. Oakstar tells him that he is banned from every gathering and dismisses him.

During a battle with Iceclan, Echowhisper follows Crystalheart and a IceClan warrior out of camp. He later accuses Crystalheart of being a traitor to the clan after agrees to Thornclaw to be his mate. Echowhisper tells Crystalheart that her sister will make a fool out of Thistlepaw. Crystalheart then attacks him, Thornclaw jumps in to help her pun him down. After a deadly bite in his neck, he lived only for a couple of heartbeats. Echowhisper sadly says his last words as if Doveheart was there, and tells her that he can't see her or their kits anymore until he eventually succumbed to his wound.
