Marigoldstar came to Mistystar's den, sitting down as Driftblaze and Sagestride sat close to their leader. Driftblaze seemed pregnant. 

"I have something to tell you. About Cedarflower, Skybrook and Nightstalk." 

"About them?" Driftblaze's eyes widened then she quickly stopped herself. 

"Yes about them. Many moons ago, Pineshine received a prophecy. You still remember her, right?" Marigoldstar asked the three she-cats nodded. 

"It said 'Three will shine brightly, bring happiness to the clans. They will save the clans from a great danger. They will safeguard the clan. But they will betray the warrior code, each in their own way. They will feel heartbreak and loss.' The three were Cedarflower, Skybrook and Nightstalk. They each broke the warrior code, as the prophecy predicted. Nightstalk trained in the Dark Forest." 

"I remember when they attacked. I remember even Mistystar and Bluedawn fighting us." Sagestride gave the leader a sideways glance, as if she still didn't trust her. Marigoldstar saw the leader flinch. 

"That was when I was stupid. I have realised my errors." Mistystar replied stiffly, with a glare at the medicine cat. 

"Nightstalk did, too. But Leopardflight and Birdfang left, they didn't understand. Nightstalk returned and I let her. But Blackdream insisted on watching her at all times. Skybrook, was mates with Foxdust. They had Featherheart, Bumbleclaw and Littlefang. Two traitors." 

"How does that make her a traitor?" Driftblaze asked, puzzled. 

"That wasn't how. Foxdust thought Littlefang was weak and stupid. He loved Featherheart and Bumbleclaw. Of course, he didn't know they would become traitors. So they weren't mates anymore. Foxdust became very close to Slatefur and even had Ivyshade's kits, Squirrelkit and Bramblekit. That reminds me, they need to become apprentices! Anyway, Skybrook became jealous and murdered Foxdust. She was blinded by fury." 

"I always thought it was a fox!" Sagestride mewed, surprised. 

"Yes, that's the explanation Brookstar came up with." Marigoldstar nodded. 

"Cedarflower, broke the warrior code twice. She became mates with someone, which medicine cats aren't allowed to do. But, she became mates with someone in RainClan." Marigoldstar continued. 

"Swiftwing!" Driftblaze blurt out. 

"How did you know?" Marigoldstar asked, shocked. 

"I've seen them together at a few Gatherings." Driftblaze mewed. 

"Well, that's the truth. Cedarflower had two kits, Redwing and a stillborn kit, Bluekit." 

"Does Redwing know who his parents are?" Mistystar asked. 

"No. He thinks they are Skybrook and Foxdust. I'm going to tell him after I tell Sandystar about the prophecy. Anyway, it was Nightstalk who died, trying to kill Titan and Skybrook who got wounded by Titan. It was Cedarflower who finally killed him, but also killing herself at the same time. Skybrook died a few seconds later, from a throat wound." 

"I see. What are you going to do with out a medicine cat?" Mistystar asked. 

"I'm going to make Bramblekit a medicine cat apprentice. She seems very calm and focused. I was wondering whether maybe Sagestride could train the apprentice?" 

"Of course. Sagestride? Would that be okay?" Mistystar consulted her medicine cat. 

"I'm happy to help." Sagestride replied with a forced smile. Mistystar didn't seem to notice though. 

"Thank you. I'm so grateful. I'd better get going. I need to tell Sandystar about this-without making him get the wrong idea about Cedarflower, Skybrook and Nightstalk." Marigoldstar stood up, to go. 

"Good luck with that." Mistystar smirked playfully.
