"BranchClan! We have a few new warriors and apprentices!" Marigoldstar yowled out the summons. 

"Featherpaw, from now on, you will be known as Featherheart. BranchClan honours your loyalty and heart of gold" Featherheart flicked her tail happily. BranchClan thought she was loyal to the clan. Typical BranchClan. 

"Bumblepaw, you will be known as Bumbleclaw from now on. BranchClan honours your bravery and strength in battle." 

"Littlepaw, you will be known as Littlefang. You may be small, but we all know that you would die for your clan!" Featherheart rolled her eyes. She hadn't been able to convince Littlefang or Redpaw to come with her and Bumbleclaw yesterday. Didn't they want to see Titan? 

"Redpaw, you will be known as Redwing." Featherheart's head jerked to Cedarflower, who was standing a few pawsteps away, gasping. What was wrong with her?

Featherheart soon moved to the nursery, and since queens weren't required to say who the father was, she had no problem about that. 

She sat lounging in the sunshine outside the nursery entrance, but her ears perked up when she heard Furzesplash and Applehawk talking about her a few pawsteps away. 

"She's my daughter's daughter. I feel like I should know who the father is. I can't understand why she didn't tell me. And if she only told Skybrook, I thought Skybrook would have told me!" Applehawk was mewing indignantly. 

"Applehawk, remember, you weren't very nice to Skybrook. You completely ignored her. Do you really think she would have told you? And anyways, Skybrook must have told Featherheart about you and how cruel you were to her." Furzesplash reminded the old tom gently. 

"Oh, I forgot about that. I really do need to apologize sometime soon. Before I move to the elders' den." Applehawk mewed to Furzesplash. Featherheart growled softly. Her mother was weak, just like Littlefang. She would make sure that her kits knew the ways of Titan's band of rogues. How to survive in the wild, not be weak and rely on each other like the stupid clans.
