Flame raced though the woods, jumping over rocks and falled logs. She sprinted at top speed, occasionally looking behind her with a big smile.

"Come on Snow! Hurry up!" She shouted behind her.

A white she-wolf bursted out of the bushes behind her. "You slow down! I have an apprentice to take care of!" Another smaller wolf trailed behind her.

Flame went to an abrupt stop and Snow ran into her. "Sorry I forgot about that. Are you okay River?" She said when she got up and stopped laughing.

River looked up at her. "Yeah! I was doing great! It was Snow that couldn't handle it!" She said and they all started laughing

"Hey! Keep it down! Are you trying to alert everything in the forest!" Another wolf walked out of the bushes.

"Don't be such a kill joy Thorn! We were just having some fun."

Flame said as she nudged him with her shoulder.

He gave her a stern look. "This is not supposed to be fun! This is supposed to be serious! This is an important job! If you don't patrol the territory properly, you could put us all in danger. Now enough stalling. We have a job to do." And with that, he stalked away.

Snow scowled at him as he disappeared in the bushes.

"Don't worry Snow, he always wakes up on the wrong side of the bed!" They all started laughing again, then they raced off in the direction that Thorn disappeared.

When they made it back to camp. Thorn had already arrived and was talking to the leader, Darktooth.

Flames stomach tied into a knot. He started walking toward them, an unreadable expression on his face.
