Flame's heart roared in her ears as she sprinted through the forest toward the camp. Snow was along side her the whole time. When the got to the camp they were completely out of breath.

"Darktooth!" Flame shouted in between gasps of air.

Leaf, a fellow wolf walked up to them concern in his eyes. "What's the matter? Is everything okay?" He said as he touched noses with Snow.

Flame's paws were twitching with impatience. "Where's Darktooth? It's urgent!" She glanced at the sky which was getting lighter.

"He's in his den. When he came back to camp he said he was tired and-"

"Go get him!" Flame interrupted, shouting louder than she wanted, making Leaf flinch back. "Please?" She added with an 'I'm sorry' look in her eyes.

He nodded then turned and walked away towards the leaders den. A couple seconds later he came back out with Darktooth trailing behind him.

"What's going on?" His deep voice asked.

Flame stepped forward. "We saw something. Something terrible!" She whined.

He sat "Well? What is it! Speak!"

Flame tried so say but her mouth went dry. Snow stepped up and spoke for her, "She said it was, oh I don't know. Something about Nexus? Yeah! A wolf, from the Nexus! We saw it in the forest from the lookout!"

Darktooth's haunches raised and his loud voice boomed, "What!"
