"What!" Darktooth's voice boomed as his hackles raised.

"Are you sure it wasn't just the darkness playing with your eyes?" Leaf asked.

Flame had a determined look on her face, "I'm positive that what we saw was a Nexus wolf! And it was disgusting...." Her voice trailed off and her eyes looked away.

Snow nodded in agreement, "It went away, though. I think...." Her voice trailed away too.

Darktooth was calmer now, "We need to take action immediately!" He said stamping his paw in the dust, "Let's talk about this in my den." They nodded and all started walking away together.

But before they got any where a blue and purple wolf ran over to them. "Darktooth, there has been a sighting of a Monsterclan wolf crossing the boarder."

Darktooth's eyes narrowed and turned to Flame, who flinched as they burned into her fur.

"Thank you Blizzard, you may go." And with that Blizzard left. As Darktooth turned to Flame again she looked down at her paws, "You were supposed to go on a patrol at moon high!" He boomed louder than before. She winced at her father's anger, but didn't dare to look up.

"Go look. See what's happening, and take someone with you!" He turned and walked away to his den with Leaf behind him.

Flame nodded to snow and they took off running toward the entrance.
