Gorsepaw began pacing back and forth, she had waited one day and still Chip hadn't decided if he wanted to help them or not. Butter was normally snoozing in the bush, and not heading back to his twolegs because he insisted on coming with them to the clans. Cherry and Lily bounded towards her.

"Can you play with us?" Cherry begged, staring excitedly at Gorsepaw, who had stopped pacing.

"Please, please, pleeeaaase?" Lily piped in, bouncing up and down excitedly. Gorsepaw sighed, flattening her ears with disappointment.

"Not today," she meowed flatly, "I'm still waiting for Chip. After he gives me an answer I'll play with you, okay?" Cherry's tail dropped as she sighed and walked away. Lily glared at Gorsepaw before following her sister.

"Great way for breaking a kits heart." A voice sounded from behind her. She spun around, the fur on her back beginning to rise. She flattened the fur, realizing that it was Chip.

"Do you have an answer yet?" She asked coolly, aggravated that he had enjoyed seeing Lily and Cherry upset.

"Oh... Well of course I do. Why else would I leave my house?" Chip asked, wrapping himself around Gorsepaw and causing her to flinch away. She didn't like his new approach.

"Wh-What's the deal, then?" She spluttered as his eyes locked with her brown eyes.

"Tell your clan that you spent your time with twolegs."

"What?!"  Gorsepaw snapped.

"Or... Take me with you." Chip continued.

"Fine." Gorsepaw meowed. "I'll take you with me."

A smile spread across Chip's face. "Thank you. Now, let me lead the way." Gorsepaw didn't like the feeling of this, and followed Chip, indicating to the others to follow.
