As I walk in to the High Stones with Marrygold I'm met with a blast of cold air and the feeling of being watched. I start to shake from the cold and fluff out my fur. As I lean closer to Marrygold for warmth she raps her tail around me.

"There's no need to be scared Duskit, I'm right here."

As we continue down the path I see a huge stone that's white like moon at the end of the cave. When we reach it the medicine cat lay down beside it.

"Duskit, for you to talk to Startribe you must lay down next to the moon stone and press your nose against it."

I do as Marrygold tells me and as soon as I touch it I'm immediately transported to the forest back home but, it looks different. The trees look sickly, the grass is brown not lush and vibrant like it usually is at this time, and it's comply quite no birds singing, no wind rustling the branches, nothing, just complete silences. Only the sounds of my footsteps echoing though the forest, "hello, is any buddy here?"

"Come this way Duskit."

"Who are, how do you know my name!"

"fallow my voice and all questions will be answered."

I see a cat out of the corner of my eye and fallow them. "Stop wait, I need to talk to you!" The cat stops and turns around and looks confused. "You can see me?" it asks sounding vary confused. "Why wouldn't I be able to see you?"

"No one's supposed to be able to see me. Well sense you can see me can I have something to tell you." I walk over him and sit down next to him. "I'm Spring water that brings fish and what I'm about to tell you shall tell no one else understand. *I nod to respond* Duskit your destiny is to be a Medicine cat this is what your ancestors want but, you have the power to change that and be a Warrior but if you do so you risk everything you know and love being taken away from you."

~The next day~

"Marrygold can I speak with you?"

"Sure come in Duskit. What do you want to tell me?"

"Yesterday I spoke to a cat named Spring water that brings fish, do you know who that is?"

"Yes, he was the medicine cats that made it so a medicine cat can have a mate after he or she has had an apprentice. Why do you ask?"

"Well he told me that my destiny is to be a medicine cat so, can I be your apprentice?"

"Of course you can Duskit. Do you want me or Jayfeather to train you?"

"I want you to train me. Jayfeather is really bossy."

"So true, Duskit let's go to Leafstar and tell her your dissension."

~~in Leafstar's den~~

"Duskit are you sure you want this? You can't have kits until YOU have an apprentice."

"Yes, Leafstar I want to be a medicine cat!"

"Then on your 6th moon your mentor shall be Marrygold."

"Can I tell Hollyleaf?!"

Leafstar nods and I run out of the den to find Hollyleaf and tell her the good news.

"Mommy mommy!!"

"What is sweet-heart?"

"I'm going to be a medicine cat!!"

"Congratulations sweety! I'm so proud of you!"

"I want to keep it a secret from daddy."

"Ok, I won't tell him. Now go play moss ball with Nightkit, and Dawnkit."

~Hollyleaf Pov~

I watch as Duskit runs off to find her sidings. I turn and head to the nursery to cheak on Treeheart.

"Hollyleaf there you are. Can you get me something from the fresh kill pile?"

"I'll get you two mice is that all right?"

"Yes! Thank you."

As I leave the den I deflect a moss ball as it's thrown at me. My kits are amazed by the move but, I continue the the fresh kill pile and I have to dig through it to find two mince. I carry them back by the tails. After I give them to Treeheart I go back to the fresh kill to get a vole to share with my kits. 

~~~one moon later~~~

"Duskit, Nightkit, and Dawnkit please step forward." All three kits step in front of Leafstar. "Today I call upon the stars to look down on these kits who have reached there 6th moon and ready to become apprentices.

Nightkit until you receive your warrior name you will be known as Nightpaw, and your mentor will be Tigerpelt, may you teach your apprentice to be appreciative and kind. Dawnkit until you receive your warrior name you will be known as Dawnpaw, and your mentor will be Snowstorm, may you pass down your Motherly love and kindness to your apprentice. And Finally Duskit your mentor will be Marrygold, and until you receive your Medicine-cat name you will be known as Duskpaw."

After the ceremony is over we run to our mentors and touch noses. And we're taken for a tore of the territory.

"Why Is Duskpaw A Medicine-Cat Apprentice And Not a Warrior!?" Fallenleaves asks in a stern voice.

"Because she wanted to. Why are you upset about it, our other two kits are going to be warriors!?" I say in a quiet yet stern voice.

"I'm going to ask her when they get back." He says under his breath as he walks away.

"I heard THAT!!"

~Duskpaw Pov~

Marrygold shows me where the boundaries are and the best spots to find herbs. As i walk through the camp entrants I run into Fallenleaves and he polls me aside.

"Why are you a Median-cat!?"

"The star-warriors told me to."

"You could be a warrior any wa-"

"NO I CAN'T, And If I Did You Would Be Dead!!" I turn and run a way to go find Marrygold.

~Fallenleaves Pov~

"Are you happy now Dear?" I turn a round and see Hollyleaf looking really mad.

"Were you watching to whole time?"

"Yes, I was, now I'm going to conferred MY daughter." I walk to the medicine den to find Duskpaw. "Duskpaw, sweety. are you here?"

"Yes mommy, I'm over here."

"I'm sorry Fallenleaves was trying to change your mind. You know I'll love you no mater what you do."

"I know mom, Fallenleaves was being a Foxheart."

"Ya, he was."
