I ran around in the thickest part of the woods, twisting and turning to avoid running into a tree. I reach the SwiftClan border and run across the moors as fast as I possibly could. I was about to double back when I hear my name get called.

"CHEETAHPAW!" Amberfur meows. "Get up! We have to go on the dawn patrol"

I open my eyes and jump up out of my nest.

"I'm up, I'm up." I meow and start to groom my fur flat and shake the scraps of moss out of my pelt.

I run out of the den and to Amberfur who is waiting with Whitestream, Bumbletail, and Morningflower.

Bumbletail led the way out of camp with Whitestream and Morningflower following close behind. I followed Amberfur out of the camp, taking up the rear.

Morningflower slows down and comes to by my side. "You must have been having a good dream if it took Amberfur that long to wake you." She meows. "What was it about?"

"Oh... uh. I was dreaming about running through the forest." I meow hesitantly. I had never told anyone about my dreams before.

"Is that it?" She meows.

"Yes" I meow, not wanting her to know about me running through SwiftClan territory.

"Well that sounds like fun!" She meows. "Why don't we all race to the SwiftClan border," She finishes, loud enough for the others to here her.

"That sounds like fun, I guess I'm in." Bumbletail meows.

"I'm in too. This way we can stretch out legs." Amberfur meows, stopping to let everyone stand beside her.

"On my count we go." Morningfower meows. "One...Two...Three...GO!!"

Everyone rushes to race for the SwiftClan border. I let everyone get ahead of me and then start to run after I can no longer see them. I quickly spot Morningflower right behind Amberfur. Bumbletail was a little bit ahead of them. I quickly pass them all up and within seconds, I am at the SwiftClan border. I groom my fur while I am waiting for the others. By the time they get to the border I had finished grooming.

"H-how did you get here so fast. I was sure you where far behind us when I had lost sight of you." Bumbletail meows between gasps of breath.

"I waited till I lost sight of you before I started running and I would say I am very quick." I meow, licking my chest in embarrassment.

"Mouse~dung! I really thought I might win too." Bumbletail meows.

"Not a chance. We passed you up anyways." Amberfur meows.

"Haha. Very funny." Bumbletail meows, clearly annoyed.

"Come on you two. Stop bickering so we can mark the border." Morningflower meows. She walks over to the border and marks it.

By the time we have finished marking the border, everyone in camp should be about to wake up. We head back to camp and to our nest, but before Bumbletail does, he reports to Stormstar.

I slowly start to drift off in my nest to darkness. When I open my eyes, Amberfur is walking into the den.

"Wake up Cheetahpaw." Amberfur meows before she realizes that I am already awake. "Oh. Sorry. I didn't realize you where already awake. We are going to the training hollow for more training with the others. They are waiting by the tunnel."

"Okay. I'm ready to go." I meow after I lick my paw and swipe it over my ears. I get up and walk out of the den with Amberfur.

"Well look who is finally awake." Lionpaw meows. "Did you sleep well?"

"I did." I meow walking out of the tunnel at his side, Tigerpaw in front of us. "Are we doing battle training again?" I ask.

"Yes. Berrystrike says there are many more moves for us to learn." Lionpaw meows.

"Yeah, and I can't wait to learn them. I just wish Leopardpaw was going to learn them with us." Tigerpaw meows.

"I do too. Also, where is Spottedpaw?" I meow

"I thinks she went on a hunting patrol with Bramblefang, Tallfoot, and Wildnose." Tigerpaw meows.

"Yeah. After that I heard she is going to be helping around in camp today." Lionpaw meows.

"Alright you three. Stop chattering like thrush's so we can start the training." Sandclaw meows as we make it to the clearing. "As you three know already, we are doing more battle training. There are still many more moves to learn and we will have to go back over them later on."

"Okay. Today we are learning the back kick." Berrystrike meows. "For this move you will have to carefully judge your opponents distance from you. Then you will lash out you hind paws while taking your weight on your front paws. I will demonstrate this move on Ivypoppy."

Ivypoppy crouches down behind Berrystrike as if she were about to pounce on him. As she starts to pounce, Berrystrike quickly but gently lashes out his hinds paws, hitting Ivypoppy in the chest. Ivypoppy lands back on the ground where she was before she pounced.

"Okay. Now everyone can try the move." Berrystrike meows.

I stand in front of Amberfur, my tail towards her. I look over my shoulder just in time to she her leap. I swiftly slash out my hind legs, a little to roughly and knock the wind out of her.

"I'm sorry! I didn't mean to do it that hard!" I meow, helping Amberfur to her feet.

"It's fine. In a real battle it would be great if you slashed out like that just with a little more force." Amberfur meows.

"Yes. That was a very good move. Now that you have all learned that move we are going to learn one more then head back to camp. The next move we are learning is called the belly rake." Berrystrike meows beckoning Ivypoppy over to him. Berrystrike jumps onto of Ivypoppy and roles her over so that her belly is exposed. Berrystrike rakes his paws across her belly while keeping her down with his front paws. Berrystrike gets up off of Ivypoppy and she walks over to Lionpaw. "Alright, now everyone can try the move."

Amberfur crouches in front of me. I swiftly run behind her and leap up onto her back before she even has a chance to think about what just happened. Amberfur drops to her paws and I role her over onto her back. Her belly is now exposed and I rake my paws across it. I hold her down with my front paws.

"Alright everyone. Get off your mentors." Berrystrike meows. I hop off of Amberfur and she stands up to shake out her pelt.

"That will be all for today." Berrystrike meows. "Lets head back to camp. Remember, if you sent any prey, go for it."

~Time Skip~

By the time we get back to camp we have caught 2 shrews, 1 squrriel, and 1 mouse. The Clan was impressed by by the amount we caught.

"You guys sure caught alot today." Wrenfeather meows from outside the warriors den. Wildnose is sitting beside her, washing his fur with long, vigorous licks.

"Yes. That sure is a lot and I happen to be hungry." Cloudleg meows, walking over to grab the squrriel we had brought back.

"You must be very proud of your kits Duskpelt. They seem to be very good at hunting." Brightshadow meows from outside the elders den.

"I am very proud. I am sure Firstorm is too." Duskpelt meows, walking over to us and giving each of us a lick on the ear.

"Where's is Leopardpaw?" Lionpaw meows.

"She is out gathering herbs with Dawnpelt" Boulderfur meows from the beside the prey pile, beside Morningflower.

"Okay." Lionpaw meows.

"How are Doveflight and the kits?" I meow. "We haven't seen them in a while, being busy with our apprentice duties and all."

I look towards the nursery to see Bumbletail step out. "They are doiBG just fine." He meows. Featherkit, Redkit, and Tinykit follow him out with Mintkit and Patchkit right behind.

"Wait for me!" Doveflight meows, squeezing out of the nursery entrence.

Mintkit and Patchkit come over, bounding ahead of the others.

"Whats it like? Being an apprentice!" Mintkit meows.

"Yeah! We are going to be one in 2 moons!" Patchkit mews.

"It's great!" Tigerpaw meows.

Featherkit, Redkit, and Tinykit come up behind jumping up and down with excitement.

"We want to be apprentices too!" Redkit meows.

"Yeah!" Featherkit mews. "Watch this!" Featherkit crouches and then leaps on top of her sister.

"Yeah!" Tinykit meows, rolling over to knock her off. With that, the kits run off play fighting with each other.

"I want to play too!!" Mintkit and Patchkit meow, racing over to play with their denmates.

"Alright you three. Go eat some fresh-kill then change the warriors beding." Sandclaw meows.

"Okay." Tigerpaw meows, walking over to the fresh-kill pile to grab a squrriel, then sat down beside Silverclaw to eat. Lionpaw walks off to grab a shrew and walks over to Silentfrost who is beside Silverclaw and Tigerpaw.

I walk over to the fresh-kill pile and grab a mouse. I walk over to my brothers to eat with them.

After we finsih, we leave camp to gather lots of moss. When we get back to the camp we clear out the warriors den and replace the old beding with the new beding we gathered.

It was sun-high when we finsihed replacing the warriors beding. Spottedpaw had returned from a hunting patrol with Bramblefang, Firstorm, and Oakfall. Leopardpaw had also returned with a jaw full of herbs and the samething goes for Dawnpelt.

"Amberfur, we finsihed replacing the warriors beding. Can we do what ever we want now?" I ask Amberfur as she finsihes grooming herself.

"Hm. Oh yes. I don't have anything else for you today. You can go play with your littermates." Amberfur meows.

"Come on Amberfur! We have to go on the sun-high border patrol!" Spidereyes mews from the bramble tunnel.

"Coming! See you later Cheetahpaw." Amberfur calls over her shoulder as she gets up and starts to walk to the bramble tunnel.

"Hey Cheetahpaw! Want to race to the SwiftClan border than to the StreamClan border and last back to here?" Tigerpaw calls to me from the tunnel. Lionpaw is already by his side.

"Sure! I'd lover to!" I meow walking over to them.

We leave the through the camp tunnel. Once we are outside we line up, facing the SwiftClan border.

"Okay. The race is to the SwiftClan border, then the long way to the StreamClan border, and finally back here." Lionpaw meows. Tigerpaw and I nod in reply. "One...... Two...... Three...... GO!"

Lionpaw and Tigerpaw race ahead to the SwiftClan border. I wait till I think they are to the border. I stand up, stretch, than speed to the SwiftClan border. When I get there I see Lionpaw a little ahead of me. A few feet in front of him is Tigerpaw. They are both walking at this point.

"Where in the world did Cheetahpaw go? Did she not hear me say go?" I hear Lionpaw meow.

"I hear someone behind you." Tigerpaw meows before I speed past the both of them, leaving them in the dust. "WHAT THE!?!"

"WHERE DID SHE COME FROM AND HOW IS SHE GOING THAT FAST" Lionpaw meows.

"YOU GUYS WILL NEVER CATCH ME!!" I meow over my shoulder. When I look in front of me I notice I am about to run straight into Tallfoot. Tallfoot looks straight at me and has a terrified look on his face. When I reach him I take a huge leap and jump over him and land on the ground a tail lenght away from him.

"Sorry Tallfoot! Where racing!" I hear Tigerpaw call behind me.

I keep going and very soon I reach the StreamClan border. I can no longer hear Tigerpaw and Lionpaw behind me. I keep going and I quickly reach the camp entrence. I wait there for the others to return.

"H-how are you so fast?" Lionpaw mew comes from around the corner. Tigerpaw is following behind.

"I'm a natural at it." I meow, licking my paw and dragging it over my ear.

"You sure gave Tallfoot a scare though! You should have seen his face when you jumped over him!" Lionpaw meows.

"Yeah! I bet you I could smell his fear scent a mile away!" Tigerpaw meows.

"There you guys are! I was wondering where you where racing to!" Spidereyes meows, stepping out of a bush with Tallfoot, Amberfur, and Wildnose following behind.

"That was not funny!" Tallfoot meows, walking over to me.

"Give her a break Tallfoot, they haven't been apprentices long and it was their first time out without their mentors." Wildnose meows, walking over to stand beside him. "Though it was really funny!"

"It was not!" Tallfoot meows while we are walking into the camp.

"Yes it was! You should have seen the look on your face when she jumped over you!" Amberfur meows.

"What happened?" Flowerstem meows, walking over to her mate, Tallfoot.

"That apprentice gave a scare by almost running straight into me and jumping over me!" Tallfoot meows.

"It was hilarious! You should have seen the look on his face!" Wildnose meows.

"It was funny but I have to go report to Firestorm." Spidereyes meows, walking off to Firestorm who was outside the warriors den.

Tallfoot and Flowerstem walk off to the medicine cat den to see if Dawnpelt can help with Tallfoot's shock. Amberfur goes over to sit beside her littermate, Firestorm, and starts to brag about her apprentice.

I walk over to Spottedpaw, who is inside the apprentices den.

"Hey! How has your day been so far?" I meow to her.

"It's been okay. I have to clean out the elders beding and check them for ticks, but at least I still got to go hunting." Spottedpaw meows, tucking her paws closer to her chest. "What did you do?"

"Well I did battle training, hunted a bit, cleaned out the warriors beding, and won a race around almost half the territory against my brothers." I meow, listing off all the things I had done so far in the day.

"That's quiet a lot. The sun should be setting soon. I wonder who Firestorm will be putting on the sun set and moon-high patrol." Spottedpaw continues. "I hope I get put on one. I've never seen the forest at night."

"I forgot there where moon-high patrols. I want to be put on one too." I meow.

"Spottedpaw! Cheetahpaw! Firestorm is organizing the sun set and moon-high patrols! Come on!" Tigerpaw meows, sticking his head into the apprentices den.

"Okay, okay! We're coming!" I meow.

Spottedpaw and I run out of the den and to the bottom of the Low Ledge. Tigerpaw and Lionpaw sit on the other side of Spottedpaw while Leopardpaw comes to sit beside me. The warriors are right behind us while Stormstar steps out of her den and lies down on the High Ledge. Firestorm is right below the Low Ledge.

"Okay everyone! It is time to organize the sun set and moon-high patrols. Ivypoppy will be leading the sun set patrol while Bramblefang will be leading the moon-high patrol. Ivypoppy, I want you to take Whitestream, Sandclaw, and Silentfrost with you. Bramblefang, I want you to take Spottedpaw, Cheetahpaw, and Amberfur with you." Firestorm meows. Firestorm flicks his tail as a sign that the clan is dismissed.

Firestorm walks over and up the High Ledge to speak to Stormstar. All the warriors walk over to the fresh-kill pile and grabbed some prey. Some cats shared prey instead of getting there own. I notice Leopardpaw not go to the pile to get anything and head straight for the medicine cat den. I walk over to the fresh-kill pile and grab 2 mice. I trot over to the medicine cat den and walk in. I drop the mice in front of me.

"I brought you two some prey. I thought you might want some sense I saw that you didn't get any." I meow. Dawnpelt looks in my direction.

"That's very nice of you Cheetahpaw." Dawnpelt meows. She walks over and grabs a mouse. Leopardpaw does the same. They thank me and I leave the den. When I finally get to the fresh-kill pile, there is 1 starling, and 3 shrews. I grab a shrew and go to sit beside Spottedpaw.

"That was kind of you to bring Dawnpelt and Leopardpaw some mice. Dawnpelt doesn't usually let herself eat until everyone else has eaten." Spottedpaw meows.

"Well I noticed they didn't get anything so I wanted to get them something before everyone else got the good stuff." I meow, taking a large bite out of my shrew. Spottedpaw still have a few mouth fulls left on the starling she was eating. "I thought there where some thrush's on the pile."

"There where. Brightshadow and Cloudleg got two of them. I think Tallfoot got the last one." Spottedpaw meows, pointing her tail at the three cats that where sitting together with Flowerstem.

After we had finsihed eating we quickly shared tounges then went to out nests. We wanted to be well rested for the moon-high patrol. Soon darkness took over and I drifted off to sleep.

~Time skip~

"Spottedpaw, Cheetahpaw. Get up. It's time for the moon-high patrol." Bramblefang meows, rousing Spottedpaw and I. I hope up to my feet and dsh out of the den, Spottedpaw right behind. Bramblefang follows out and Amberfur comes out of the warriors den.

"Are we ready to go?" Bramblefang asks. Everyone nods their heads in reply. "Alright" Bramblefang leads us trough the bramble tunnel and towards the StreamClan border. After we have marked it we head in the direction of the SwiftClan border. We cross the spot where I have to jump over Tallfoot. When we reach this border we mark it and then head back to camp.

Once we get to camp, Firestorm is waiting for us to return. Bramblefang goes over to him to report that everything was silent. Everyone else went to their dens to turn in for the rest of the night.

When I laid down, I thought about everything that had happened that day. Going on the dawn patrol, battle training, racing, and going on the moon-high patrol. It was a fun day I thought as I drifted off the sleep.
