Chapter 21
Before Kittithrine wakes up, she is sleeping deeply right after she collapsed. She was walking in the Star Bridge, confused, and felt lost from within. Suddenly, she smelled a familiar scent in the air. Milk, she pricked up her ears and started to head towards the scent.
Once she is at the location, she saw a familiar cat from before. A dark brown tabby tom with black stripes and a scar across its chest, and he is sitting right next to a shiny ball that looks funky as a rock. She crept up slowly towards him, "Hey," Kittithrine meowed. "Are you okay?"
"You should never use it," the tom hissed.
"Used what?"
"You used the power of the Star Bridge!" the tom howled as he turned,
Kittithrine jumped, "H-how...?" suddenly, she saw a lot of guilt and pain in tom's eyes. Curious, Kittithrine stepped back a bit. "How did you know I used it?"
"Because I know it belongs to the power of the Board Keepers," the tom lightly growled. "And you are one of them,"
"What?" Kittithrine's rage kicks in, "No I'm not, I am a human being. Not a cat, I am under a spell!"
"You may think that," the tom hissed. "But for how long?"
"What?" Kittithrine's ears flatten, "What are you...?"
"Look," the tom growled. "The longer you use your powers in this form, the longer the form of the two-leg gets weak. If you want to be a two-leg again, so stop using those powers of yours and go home. That way you will return to your two-leg form,"
"Your bluffing," Kittithrine barely hissed.
"Do I look like that I am bluffing to you?"
Tell that to that tail of yours', pal! Kittithrine held her growl as watches his tail and back to his eyes. "If you want me to do that, what else is there?"
The tom leaned forward and looked deeper into her turquoise eyes, and Kittithrine looked deeper into his golden-amber eyes. She can see his eyes are full of sorrow, but his growl is full of anger. "Don't follow the cats from either clan or don't go into BloodClan at any cost,"
"Why not?" Kittithrine meowed, "Why can't I go with any cat or into any other clan? Why?"
"It's all way too dangerous for you," the tom meowed. "Especially for a kit in any kind of forms alike, like for you in particular."
What is he hiding? Kittithrine wondered, He must have been hiding something behind that voice of his, but what?
The tom sighed, "Look," he leans towards Kittithrine's ear. "Just heed these words, ignore the orders from StarLord and Silverpelt. And just go home," then he backed away from Kittithrine. With confusion running through all over her body, suddenly something warm has surrounded her. "You better go once you wake. Return to your two-leg nest and never use those powers again."
"What? Why?" Kittithrine has jumped, then the tom turned away from her. "Tell me, who are you, and why are you telling me all of this? Tell me!" As she is disappearing, tom looks down in sadness.
"I'm sorry," he mewed sadly.
"Huh?" Kittithrine tilted her head, as her world has turned from white to black.
When Kittithrine woke up, she found herself laying on the grass with Thunderheart and the kitten by her side. "Hey kit," Thunderheart purred.
"Thunderheart," Kittithrine started to sit up. "What happened?"
"You tell me,"
"Well...all I remember is the battle," Kittithrine began. "The cat was going to hurt the kit, conquering the Star Bridge, meeting Silverpelt and ...and...everything has gone very...blurry."
"Silverpelt?" everyone meowed,
"Uh...long story," Kittithrine shook her head.
"But..." the kit mewed, "Don't you remember anything else? Right after you saved me?"
"Uh...sorry, no."
"Okay but wait." A silver tabby she-cat with silvery-grey stripes and light blue eyes meowed, "You don't remember about your paw glowing, vanishing Thunderheart's wound on his shoulder and ours, and collapsing right in front of all of us."
"Wait, I did what?" Kittithrine tilted her head,
"Yup," a large white tom with huge jet-black paws meowed. "She does not remember it, not the way that has just happened."
"Wait, hold on for a second." Kittithrine tries to thin straight, "What are you guys talking about? And who are you exactly?"
Thunderheart his throat, "Let me introduce you to my friends," he purred calmly. "Kit, these are my friends. The large white tom with huge jet-black paws is Shadowfang, the Warrior of ShadowClan."
"Hello," Shadowfang meowed.
"Hi," Kittithrine replied.
"Alright, right next to him. The dark gray tom is Ravenclaw, the Warrior of WindClan."
Ravenclaw bowed his head,
A silent type huh, Kittithrine thought. A nice, pleasant moment to have of meeting with.
"Okay," Thunderheart continued. "The silver tabby she-cat with silvery-grey stripes and light blue eyes is Pearltail, the Warrior of RiverClan."
"Hello," Pearltail grumbled.
"Hi," Kittithrine grumbled back.
"And the kit that you saved is Crystalkit,"
"Hi," Crystalkit squeaked. "And thank you for saving me,"
Kittithrine purred, "Anytime,"
Crystalkit purred as she rubbed her head on Kittithrine's leg to shoulder,
"Okay," Thunderheart meowed. "I got to ask you something,"
"Like what?"
"Well..." before Thunderheart could speak, paw steps have sounded behind Thunderheart and Kittithrine. When they turned, they saw another dark gray tom walking towards them.
"Good," he growled. "The kit is awake, now we can move. We are burning sunlight,"
"And my friends?" Thunderheart growled, the tom looked at them for a moment and back to Thunderheart.
"They could come too," the tom growled. "But no funny business,"
"Count on it," Thunderheart growled. Then the tom padded away, "Let us talk more later, but right now. We got to move,"
Everyone nodded in response,
"Stay close," Thunderheart meowed to Kittithrine.
"Right," Kittithrine nodded. Before she could move, in the back of her mind. She has almost begun to have second thoughts about going, but she shakes it off and begun to follow Thunderheart. As everyone has begun to pad out of the field, everything has gone quiet once again.
