"We have been expecting you." Darkstripe meowed, the sickly light from the Dark Forest was a little alarming but, Rootstar had been here several times before. "You did a good job not letting Iceclan shelter in your camp. They are a bunch of weaklings if they can't drive out a bunch of rogues!" Darkstripe hissed, "Yes they are especially Ivorystar." A red cat said as he stepped out of the shadows, Who is this cat? I have never seen him before. Rootstar thought, the cat had amber eyes and a hole in his chest. How is this cat still alive!? Rootstar thought, Darkstripe looked at the red tom. "I bet you are wondering who this is, this is Paupi." Darkstripe meowed, Paupi smiled. "You will have to fight me to prove you are powerful, I was once a powerful cat I killed everyone who stood in my way but, I was killed by Ivorystar because I killed his granddaughter because before he made Iceclan. He was in my group of rogues and, he ran away from us taking everyone with him except for Jay or as you know him Jaywing." Paupi meowed, "I'm ready." Rootstar meowed unsheathing his claws, Paupi leaped at him Rootstar stuck out his paw. It went right through the hole in Paupi's chest. Paupi sneered and raked Rootstars belly. Rootstar kicked Paupi off and sliced his throat. Paupi groaned and tore Rootstars ear in half. Paupi put his paw over his throat. "Good fight." He croaked, Darkstripe smiled. "Well done Rootstar now you must return to the real world." Darkstripe meowed as Rootstars vision blurred and he woke with scratches on his belly and a torn, bleeding ear. How am I going to explain this to my clan? Rootstar thought, he didn't realize his medicine cat was standing in the entrance. "How did you get those wounds?" He asked his green eyes narrowed with suspicion, "Lightningash well I was you know...out." Rootstar lied, Lightningash padded up to him. "You have been in the Dark Forest haven't you? I have been watching you for a while and you didn't ever "go out." Lightningash hissed, Rootstar slid out his claws if Lightningash was going to tell the whole clan Rootstar would kill him before he could. Lightningash eyes widened in fear. He ran out of the den his yellow pelt like a flash. Rootstar pelted after him. I'm going to definitely kill him now! Rootstar thought, Lightningash was fast but, Rootstar was faster he pounced on Lightningash and pinned him down. A blur of yellow fur hit Rootstar he realized it was his son Lionheart. "WHAT WERE YOU DOING TO MY BROTHER!!!" Lionheart demanded, "None of your businesses!" Rootstar hissed, Ashwind padded up to Lightningash to help him get up. "You clearly cannot be trusted so, I am going to exile you." Lionheart hissed, "YOU CANT EXILE ME!!! I AM YOUR LEADER!!!" Rootstar hissed, "Well I'm your deputy and you can't be trusted so, take your mangy pelt out of here!" Lionheart commanded, Rootstar snorted and pushed Lionheart off of him. "Well if I'm being exiled who wants to come with me?" Rootstar asked, "I will." A white tom with blue eyes mewed, "Ah Blizzardclaw we will get our revenge together." Rootstar mewed, "Since you are being exiled you no longer will have a leader name. You will have your warrior name Rootpelt." Lionheart hissed, "How did I end up with a father like you." "I WILL BE BACK AND YOU WILL BE SORRY!!!" Rootpelt hissed as he and Blizzardclaw left Fireclan camp forever...
