Chapter 22:

Skystar's P.O.V:

"May I come in?" Skystar heard Clearlight's voice from outside her den.

Skystar meowed. "Sure. No need to ask, you know that."

Clearlight padded in and Skystar noticed his eyes blazed with slight anger. "Why didn't you tell me about Tigerstar?!" he unsheathed his claws and dug them into the moss that lay in Skystar's den.

"I told you at the Clan meeting!" she narrowed her eyes and stood up. "Don't you dare accuse me of forgetting about you! Your my mate and always will be."

"How can I trust what you say when you won't even trust me with infomation about the prophecy?!" Clearlight growled.

Skystar shook her head. "Waterfly and I only spoke just before the meeting, I thought it would be easier to tell everyone at the same time!"

Clearlight snarled. "But you should trust me!"

Skystar unsheathed her claws. "Of course I trust you! Your just too stubborn to realise!" and she ran out of her den and disappeared into the forest.

Waterfly's P.O.V:

Waterfly watched Clearlight walk into Skystar's den and she stood up to pad to her den. Before she got there, thought, Blazemoon appeared at her shoulder.

"Waterfly? Where's Demonkit? Have you seen her?" Worry rolled of the grieving mother in waves. She was still upset about Fallenkit leaving and now Demonkit had disapeared.

Waterfly held back a sigh and meowed kindly. "I'm sure she's just exploring, why don't you check around camp with Fluffystream?"

Fluffystream looked up from eating a mouse and gazed at Waterfly with a pleading expression. He was behind Blazemoon so she couldn't see him. Waterfy shot him a stern look saying, Do as your told!

Blazemoon nodded slowly and turned to Fluffystream. "Come on, you check the warriors and elders den I'll check the rest."

Fluffystream reluctantly followed Blazemoon to check for Demonkit and Waterfly padded into her den to see Nutwhisker sorting herbs. "Hi Waterfly." he whispered. "We need some rasberry leaves. We're running low."

Waterfly sat down in her nest and meowed to her apprentice. "Rasberry leaf? But none of ours warriors are expecting kits."

Nutwhisker shook his head. "I've seen Loveheart's stomach is getting plump and I don't think it's because she's eating more. In fact she'd be eating less since it's leaf-bare which proves she is expecting."

Waterfly scanned her thoughts and realised that Loveheart had been getting plumper. Fluffystream must be proud. It was about time they had kits together.

Silversplash's P.O.V:

Silversplash let all the information from the clan meeting sink in. She was so lost in thought she forgot she had to organise some patrols.

Cats had started crowding her and asking what patrol they were going on. Silversplash silenced them and meowed. "Clearlight will lead a border patrol on Monsterclan's side. He will take Whitetail, Bluestorm and Bumblestrike. Sparklingfish take Mousenose and Fernpelt around the Magiclan border and I will take Fluffystream and Loveheart around the territory for a patrol and a quick hunt."

Everyone split up into their patrols. Only Waterfly, Nutwhisker, Blazemoon, Demonkit, Poppyfire, Bigstep, Slowsky and Stormwhisker were left in camp. Silversplash wondered if she should take her patrol out after the others came back but decided against it and knew the camp would be safe whilst she was gone.
