Starpaw looked at Nightpaw carefully. The black she cat apprentice was small, just a little bigger than Starpaw, and had light green eyes. She resembled a bigger version of Cypresskit.  Starpaw gathered up enough courage and asked Nightpaw;

"Can you read minds?!" Starpaw asked, a little excitedly. 

"W-why do you ask?" Nightpaw questioned, looking rather uncomfortable.

"Umm- you-umm kind of - ummm -seemed to know what I was thinking." Starpaw hesitated, not really wanting to make Nightpaw unhappy.

"Fine." Nightpaw growled. Starpaw jumped back; she had never heard Nightpaw get angry like that unless in battle. Maybe she had read someones mind who wasn't thinking good things. "I can. I have always been able to, and if you want to know if that is my power from Starclan, then the answer is yes." Nightpaw's green eyes were light with fury and confusion. Nightpaw turned around and walked silently to the back of the group of Thunderclan cats as Littlecloud spoke.

"We have managed well after the leaving of half of our clan. I have taken on Flamepaw as my apprentice." Littlecloud paused and let the clans cheer for the orange tom standing just below Littlecloud's branch.

"Also, " Littlecloud said as the last cheers died down, "Dawnpelt and Tigerheart have become warriors." A cream she cat and a brown tabby tom stood proudly in the middle of Shadowclan's cats.

The Gathering ended and some cats rejoined their clans, but others waited awhile, sharing tongues and talking, before they rejoined their clans. 

Finally, Thunderclan was gathered up and Bluestar led the way back to the Thunderclan camp. Starpaw tried to find Nightpaw, but the black apprentice seemed to be avoiding her. Starpaw made plans to high jack Nightpaw when she came into the den, but as soon as Starpaw had curled up in her soft moss nest with fresh moss from the other apprentices work, she fell asleep.

Sorry, sorry, sorry. I  had a super busy week and was not able to post an more than one book, so I chose one of my others to start posting on.
