" There is a land untouched by the human greed, a place no human has, and ever will see. The land was forged thousands of years ago and to this day remains strong, the land known as Akalia.
Akalia was a savage place, the only inhabitants were two wolf twins with colossal strength and power. The oldest of the pair was Ashkury.
Ashkury was spiteful and cruel form the beginning, a savage should ran deep within him. He forged his portion of the divided land through blood and fire, the burning desire to eliminate all threats to him and his future kin drove him to the edge, and over. He soon became bent on jealousy, seeing that his sister had chosen a better portion of the land of Akalia. He strove to inhabit that land, not caring how he got it. To take the land he would have to get help from some of the native dwellers of his land, a species of fossa like animals known as Verns. Ashkury massed his forces overtime, he learnt the lay of the land around him and how to use his dark magic for evil.
Two years later he decided he was ready, he visited his sister, to tell her about the ' abundance ' of his land and how he wanted to share hers. Brightmoon, his sister, immediately told him she would be happy to let him share her portion but he wasn't going to leave her alive to see her portion flourish. He attacked her, biting deep in to her shoulder. Brightmoon saw her brother's treachery and fought back. Little did he know that she herself had massed an army of Lesatras, a race that dwelt near the sea. The Verns and the Lesatra fought mercilessly, the Lesatra were completely wiped out but now almost no Verns existed to fight again. Brightmoon and Ashkury fought for years against each other until Brightmoon found a way to cast her brother in to a pit of darkness for two thousand years. At the end of his imprisonment no one knows what shall happen, long have wolfkind, squabbled over the outcome. When Brightmoon and Ashkury paved the way for our long ago ancestors Brightmoon swore to protect them against her brother. Long have we bought that maybe some day a warrior will be so great that they can get rid of Ashkury once and for all," A large, male wolf recalled.
His eyes were alight with the excitement of his story. He was tall, with black fur and blue paws. He had a blue muzzle and bright blue eyes. The image of a crashing wave was depicted on the top of each leg and on his forehead. He was only one of the many elemental wolves in the world of Akalia. His name was Tide, he was sitting outside of a large rocky cave, staring down at what was below him.
Two completely black eyes stared back at him with awe. It was a she pup, completely black and devoid of any colour. She didn't even have a name, no pup did. Every pup was devoid of colour until initiation. Initiation begun on this very day. The she pup often listened to stories told by her father who was equally as excited as she was. Her mother looked exactly like her father in colour but she was much smaller. She was known as Mist. She laughed at the excitement of her only daughter.
" You've heard that story many times already," Mist laughed.
" But daddy tells it as if I'm right there!" Her daughter said in excitement.
Mist rolled her eyes and padded over to them both. Tide nudged her affectionately.
" Some day I'll be the warrior to slay Ashkury!" Their daughter yipped boldly.
She growled and started wrestling her father's tail.
" You have to pass initiation first little warrior, now stay still so I can groom your fur," Mist scolded gently.
" Of course she'll pass. Everyone thinks she will be a water elemental, with S trying water powers because both of us are water elementals," Tide confided.
Mist shook her head.
" Of course not, I have a feeling that she will be something different, something stronger," Mist said thoughtfully.
" My dear, what is stronger than water?" Tide asked.
" Lightning my dear. It means she will have sky powers, water powers and be able to start fires," Mist answered eagerly.
" A lightning wolf has not been created for five hundred years," Tide laughed.
" No, I have faith," Mist said with her head erect.
Tide sighed but shuffle closer to her, why female wolves were always so stubborn was beyond his understanding.
A multicoloured sea of wolves was gathered in in a large clearing. Trees created a circle around the large expanse of grass. This was known as the gathering place for the wolves of their village. Mist's daughter was one of twelve pups going through initiation. The process was simple, a pup was called forward and stood in the centre of the clearing, then they were were told to work together in a group to hunt down a caribou, after the hunt they would return and stand in the light of the moon until Brightmoon's light shone upon them and their powers were given to them. A name was burnt in to the ground in front of them. That was initiation. Apparently the powers given were decided by the way they acted in the hunt but no wolf knew for sure. A howl was taken up by Tide, the other wolves joined in, this signified the start of the hunt.
The pups took off, racing forward and away in to the forest as a group. They ran until the scent of caribou was scented on the wind. They smelt out the herd, picked a target and started the process of bringing down their prey. Mist and Tide's pup raced around the side of the target in a wide arc. Another she pup raced beside her. Two other pups raced in an arc around the other side while the others chased it head on. She looked at the size of the buck bug knew that she was going to be okay. They had chosen the target, an elderly buck. They snarled at it and tried to head it off. She saw suddenly that the largest part of the group was being charged by a large male buck. He was so much bigger than them by far. All the pups leapt bravely at the oncoming adversary, biting at its hooves and dancing out of range. The smallest pup was practically right under its hooves and if not helped, would be trampled. She growled and with the others, raced back to help. She leaped fearlessly in front of the smaller pup, brainy her teeth angrily. The male buck reared up at her. She didn't back down, why would she, none of the pups would. The buck was covered by small pups, biting and shoving at it angrily. She saw an opening, maybe the only one she would find in this struggle. She leaped up and clung to its neck, sinking her fangs in and hitting the vital artery. The caribou fell beneath her with one last bellow, it was dead.
Mist and Tide's daughter was last in the group to step in to the moonlight. The light encased her fully until she was no longer visible. A voice talked to her.
" My warrior, you have a destiny I cannot reveal like I have to the others today," the voice said gently.
" Go now and see your power grow," it added.
The moonlight shut off and she stepped out to face everyone. A gasp was taken up by the crowd. She looked down at herself. Her laws were yellow, her tail tip yellow, her chest and eyes, yellow and yellow lightning bolts emblazoned the top of her legs.
" The first lightning wolf in two hundred years," they gasped.
She peered down at her name, Bolt, it said. Bolt, a good name, she thought happily.
