Oceanheart was nervous, she hadn't been to a Gathering before, what if the other clans don't accept her? She heard a set of paws heading towards her, she spun her head around and came face to face with a misty gray she-cat with beautiful blue eyes. Oceanheart bowed her head in greeting to the she-cat.

"Hello." She meowed. "Greetings," said the she-cat.

"I am Mistyfoot, deputy of Riverclan, you must be Oceanheart, right?" Oceanheart was honored. The Riverclan Deputy! "Yes, Firestar has made me a warrior a couple moons ago." she looked down at her paws, nervously. "Dont be nervous, I know this is your first Gathering and I know you're going to be fine." Mistyfoot meowed. She opened her mouth to say something else, but stopped when they heard Shadowclan arriving. Now Oceanheart was, not nervous, but really scared! Shadowclan attempted to invade Thunderclan, when Oceanheart was an apprentice. She had won a battle against the Leader of Shadowclan, Blackstar. Firestar, Onestar, and Leopardstar were already on their branches, waiting for Shadowclan. Once Blackstar took his place on the Great Oak, Firestar had begun the meeting.

"Thunderclan is doing well and out fresh-kill pile is restored once again, after a harsh leaf-bare." he begun, "We will also like to welcome a new warrior, Oceanheart." Oceanheart sat up, her head held high. She could hear Thunderclan, Windclan, and a few Riverclan cats, cheering their approval. While Shadowclan and some others were murmuring about her kittypet heritage. She shrunk back into the crowd. This was not what she expected. Leopardstar and Onestar have given their reports, nothing much though. Finally, it was Blackstar's turn to give his report.

"Shadowclan is suffering still and our prey is scarce. We have found a Thunderclan scent on our territory a few times. Prey-stealers!" he exclaimed, turning his head to look at the Thunderclan leader. Firestar then spoke up.

"We would never steal prey from another clan unless we are running low on prey ourselves!" Oceanheart was shocked, does Shadowclan really think that Thunderclan would cross into their territory like that? Is this the reason why they tried to invade? Then without thinking, she stood back up.

"Thunderclan would never steal prey! Are you mouse-brained?" she growled. Blackstar glared at her, and snarled.

"This is not a discussion for you, kittypet, can't you mind your own business?" Oceanheart flinched, this had been the second time someone had mentioned her past, as a house cat. She was angry, she isn't going to let this mouse-brain of a leader get away with these insults!

"Youre the one who attacked us, that breaking the warrior code!" she hissed, "Invading our territory, for no good reason!" Blackstar looked as if he was going to jump down and snap her neck, but the clouds had covered the full moon, the Gathering had ended. The clans were beginning to separate to returned to their territories. Oceanheart followed the other cats in the back, tail drooping. She had acted so foolish, why did she defy a leader at a Gathering, Firestar will, for sure, be angry!

*Time skip*

Oceanheart padded in to camp and everyone was already in groups murmuring to each other about the Gathering. She was tired, so she decided to head to the Warrior Den and fall asleep. She heard a mew behind her, "Oceanheart, I need to speak with you." It was Firestar!
