Foxdawn

Name: Foxdawn- (I'm not sure about this name...maybe you could try Redsun, Foxtrot, or Dawnfur)- 1 point

Clan: RiverClan

Gender: transgender male- (...)

Age: 35 moons, 65 moons at death

Appearance: a cinnamon, chocolate and white tortoiseshell-tabby with green eyes and a triangular face. He has a shortened area of fur on his shoulder from obsessive compulsive cleaning.-(Okay)

Personality: introverted and self-conscious, Foxdawn is constantly fussing over his fur to stay neat and clean. He usually seems calm, but when he's alone he'll compulsively clean his right shoulder to the point of there being a bit of a bald spot. He's very quiet and hard-working, always aiming to please others. However, this trait is often taken advantage of and he can become overbearing at times. He will defend his opinions, but generally hides behind others in conflict and has a hard time standing up for himself, especially about his gender identity.-(He has a good personality. No complaints here!)

Rank: Warrior, contemplating being a male denmother.

Backstory: as a kit, Foxkit didn't think too much about the fact that the other cats used the 'she/her' pronouns because they didn't really matter. Birchkit and Chestnutkit became accustomed to calling him brother instead of sister, constantly referring to Foxkit as a 'him' and baffling their clanmates. Troutshine proudly called Foxkit his son, but Starlingpelt had trouble transitioning. She eventually became more fluid in using the correct pronouns and became extremely defensive of him. However, when he was first introduced to the shallows where kits learned to swim, he was puzzled by his reflection. Why was there a molly staring at him? He was given unhelpful answers when he asked older cats, getting responses such as "it's just you, you know!" and "it's only your reflection, dear." When he became an apprentice, he stopped asking. Now Foxpaw, he was apprenticed under a friendly and carefree she-cat named Starkfur. Having a rather irresponsible mentor, Foxpaw ended up teaching himself many techniques by closely watching senior Warriors and following their movements. He taught himself the basics of hunting, fishing and swimming in the deeper rivers. His poor mentoring was a major impact on his motivation, and that's around when he started his bad habit of compulsive cleaning. On top of this, the mentoring, or lack thereof, made him more rebellious. He would sneak out at night with his littermates and two denmates, Hollypaw and Redpaw, and they'd play by an old willow tree. One day, Hollypaw and Birchpaw were wrestling together when Hollypaw's foot became snagged in the willow's roots. It twisted, and Foxpaw was terrified for his friend while the others reported to the Clan. He felt responsible for the incident and that was a major blow to his self-esteem. His uncle Barkdapple also took him under his wing, teaching him some little tips and tricks on hunting and fighting. In the end, he had little interactions with Starkfur. His life hit a major low point at his first Gathering after meeting three ThunderClan siblings; Shredpaw, Alderpaw and Sparrowpaw. They became Foxpaw's bullies, and caused his already low self-esteem to drop to zero. They constantly clashed heads with each other, Birchpaw and Chestnutpaw defending him as much as possible. However, their words always echoed through his mind and he began to have nightmares. He would be staring at his reflection when it leapt up at him, cackling as it dragged him down under the water. Afflicted with harsh insomnia and depression, he struggled through his Warrior's assessment and nearly failed had it not been for his siblings encouragement. Hollypaw (now the official med cat apprentice due to his injury) would regularly prescribe him poppy seeds for sleep, and even gave him a strong bone found by the twolegs' place while gathering herbs to stress claw/bite on. On top of that, the two began to cuddle together, an old habit from their kithood. It helped keep Foxpaw's nightmares at bay while making Hollypaw less lonely. Gaining the name Foxdawn, he was still ridiculed by the newly named Shredfern, Alderthorn and Sparrowdusk. One day, at a Gathering, the trio took their harassment too far and attacked Foxdawn. the ThunderClan leader, Scorchstar, stripped their warrior privileges for an entire moon. When he was released from the medicine den and given a day to get used to a normal schedule, Barkdapple pulled him aside and asked to speak about anything he wanted to say. After confessing his identity, Foxdawn's uncle admitted that he himself was homosexual and would be open to talk if he needed to. A season later, Foxdawn finally mustered up the courage to come out to his aging leader and the deputy. He was surprised at how well they took it, and they admitted that Barkdapple and his mate, Birchtalon, had also confessed, but to the entire clan. Steadily gaining courage, he finally told the clan that he indeed used the male pronouns, and would prefer it be used. After steady transitioning throughout RiverClan, and eventually the other Clans as well, Foxdawn finally could sleep soundly without his terrible nightmares.-(Troutshine might be a cannon name, but I'm not sure...I'm pretty sure Stark- isn't a Warriors prefix. Although I am a fan of darker Warriors stories, I think the insomnia and depression might be a little extreme. Otherwise, your backstory is fine)- 1 point

Your OC has a balanced personality, which is amazing! He's paranoid, and a social outcast, which is nice to see out of Warriors Ocs. Other than some of the names, I think your OC is fine. He doesn't really strike me as cliche, and his story is unique.
