DawnStep padded into the nursery as the young flame colored kit was put down on a bed of moss as a few other kits stared at it, the young flame colored kit crawled around mewling as a light silver She-Cat lifted her head up
"DawnStep?, Do you need some help?"
She asked, DawnStep nodded
"Y-yes...., Mistfur I can't take care of this kit all on my own, I don't have any milk to feed it...., I know you're expecting soon.....maybe you can raise her alongside your litter?"
DawnStep asked as MistFur nodded
"I can fill in for her mother"
Mistfur meowed calmly, an apprentice poked it's head into the Nursery
"SmallPaw?, Something wrong?"
Mistfur asked
"Troutleap wanted me to give this to you"
SmallPaw said he was a black Tom with a white paw he walked over to her and gave her a fish, Mistfur purred as she took the fish, see licked the young apprentice's head
"Well tell him I said thank you"
She smiled, DawnStep watched the apprentice nod and walk out
"Thank you MistFur, I have to go"
DawnStep said as she walked out, MistFur smiled as she looked at the flame colored kit
"I think I will call you FlameKit"
She said as FlameKit mewed in response she smiled and began to groom the small kit
