» Chapter 1.9

» In Chapter 1.8, you chose to: listen to possible voices.

A soft 'whoosh' was heard as Minky listened. She took a step back, shaking in fear. No one's talking.

"Calm down, Minky. I can smell your fear-scent all over," Pinpoint whispered. "Just think happy thoughts."

"Happy thoughts. Right. That's easy," Minky chuckled anxiously. "No problem with that."

It was hard for her to think of something happy when wildcats could be attacking her, as well as Pinpoint. Pinpoint could get injured because of me, Minky thought, horrified.

An earthy scent washed over Minky's nose, calming her nerves. She gave out a sigh, seemingly relaxed and no longer fearful. It seemed to have the same effect on Pinpoint as his muscles relaxed slightly, though he was still on high alert.

"We are not hostile, young ones," a soothing voice spoke, complementing the earthy smell.

"Really? Every hostile cat would say that," Pinpoint retorted, though his actions said that he already let his guard down.

Another voice spoke - but this time, a little raspier. "I believe we were drawn to a certain young cat with much hidden potential."

The two rogues gasped when a brilliant flash of pale white light burst out in front of them like a cloak with an extra shine. Two starry cats appeared, both elegant and refined.

"We are the respective leaders of cats that live in these territories - both the forest and the mountain," the first spoke.

Minky began stammering, her eyes stretched wide with awe. "H-how are you so-"

"Starry? We are their... ancestors. The first cats who set foot on this habitat," the second starry cat spoke, voice clear and concise - no longer raspy.

"Dead cats?" Pinpoint scoffed disbelievingly. "I must be dreaming."

"Believe what you must. But Minky - I believe that's your name - you have a choice to join us," the first cat meowed, eyes gentle.

"Join you? As in kill myself?" Minky asked, confused.

The two starry cats chuckled in amusement. The first was the one who spoke first. "No, little one. Join our living descendants. We are aware of what you seek."

"Acceptance," the second one added.

"You can't seriously be considering what they're saying," Pinpoint said, gaping.

"I-I... All I ever wanted was a place to call my home," Minky muttered.

"You may choose where you want to go, and we will inform our descendants," the second starry cat assured.

"Would you like to join PeakClan, where every cat looks out for one another to survive?" the first asked.

"Or would you like to join the Tribe of Jagged Thorns, where our system keeps every cat alive?" the second asked.

"Uhh..." Minky felt trapped between two choices, unable to decide.

» PeakClan.

» Tribe of Jagged Thorns.

This chapter is longer than the others, so enjoy! I actually made a huge mistake that caused a lot of trouble with organisation, but I managed to figure something out last minute. So which group should Minky join? A Clan, or a Tribe? Be warned to choose wisely, for a wrong choice will end a relationship.
