The two rogues embraced the silence, listening to the forest's voice and the mountain's rumble. A squirrel scurried past, its bushy tail briefly touching Minky's paws.

Minky jumped back in surprise, and watch as more rodents scurried into their hiding places.

Night's inky cloak had covered most of the sky, allowing darkness to set in. Minky had not realised that it was already nighttime. Time passed so quickly with Pinpoint, Minky thought warmly. She let out a yearning sigh. A place where I'll be accepted. How nice would that be?

"So, why did you bring me here? It isn't simply to admire the view, is it?" Minky asked, kicking a pebble.

The pebbled rolled into a puddle with a soft 'splash'. Her heart was aching with loneliness and sorrow.

"You need to come out of your shell - literally - and see what's around you! Look at just how wonderful the forest and mountain is," Pinpoint meowed, raising a paw to gesture towards the horizon. "Though not-so-friendly cats live there."

"Can we go closer? I want to go take a closer look," Minky had already started forward, her eyes keen.

Pinpoint jumped in front of her and shook his head vigorously. "No! The wildcats will not be friendly. This is as far as we go."

Minky frowned, giving an inaudible sigh.

» Give pleading eyes.

» Swallow nervousness and demand.
