Minky exhaled sharply. Be brave, Minky! Maybe it is just a false alarm. Go check it out so you'll stop worrying.

The brown-furred she-cat carefully stood up from her soft boulder and walked out of the silver boulder. A soft breeze caressed her fur, but instead of comfort, she felt uneasiness.

Tasting the air, she was surprised she could not pick up any scents. Her amber eyes scanned the area, ears pricked up and alert for any signs of movement. She heard something exhale, loud enough for her to hear.

Is it a cat? Maybe it isn't such a good idea to find out, Minky thought, flattening her ears. No! Can't back out now. Be brave.

Minky sighed and crept towards the bush silently. She had seen it rustle a few times. It was minor movements, but obvious enough for her to pick up.

She spotted a blur of golden and tilted her head in confusion. A golden cat, perhaps? Or maybe a very golden squirrel?

The thought of fresh-kill made her belly rumble in hunger. Minky shook it off and tried to focus on her mission to uncover the creature beneath the bushes.

"Hi! I'm Pinpoint. Nice to meet you!" the golden figure leapt from the bushes, greeting her with strange friendliness.

Minky shrieked in surprise, stumbling backwards with her eyes stretched wide in surprise. "Who are you?"

» Immediately in an aggressive stance, yet afraid.

» Curious, but cautious.
