Chapter 5

A/N: This wasn't the best Warriors fanfiction I've written.

I'll admit: I made the worst fanfiction ever about Warriors because I added in weird super powers. You'll get what I mean later on in this chapter and book.

I don't know what I was thinking when writing this; making the cats have elemental powers. -.-

There are asterisks (*) where I messed up in the storyline.

Anyways, just keep in mind that when I made this book, I didn't know where I was going with the purple mist powers and others. It's hard to explain.

I've realized my mistake a while ago. Just thought I'd point out that it's not the best book. Also, I have a book on how to write a Warriors fanfiction.

I am already starting another Warriors fanfiction and I'm going to try to make this one much more like the real books.

Enjoy the story!

A black shadow flew past a gorge. It halted in its path, swooping back to the gorge's depths. When it landed, it formed a cat's head with yellow eyes and slowly solidified into a whole she-cat. *

The she-cat had flown down into a cave behind a waterfall. She had always lived here, even before the new Clans arrived. Her yellow eyes showed nothing of her emotions, but she was here for a reason.

She turned to a cave wall covered in scratches from cats long ago; cats who died near the gorge. The she-cat had been keeping count and recently, a blue-gray she-cat had joined the scratched wall. This particular victim had died of deadly purple mist. The black she-cat growled with satisfaction.
Soon, the light will die out and the darkness shall rise.

"Darkheart!" a yowl cried out.

Darkheart, the yellow-eyed she-cat turned towards the voice, which was coming from a tunnel in the back of the cave. A light brown tabby she-cat padded out of the tunnel. Darkheart growled quietly with annoyance. Mothers... she thought.

"What is it, Oakpelt?" Darkheart murmured.

"You need to get your sleep. You've been out too long." Oakpelt replied.

"Is Blackfur back?" Darkheart meowed.

Oakpelt stared at her, then murmured,
"He hasn't been back since he left through the half-stones up the gorge."

Darkheart's eyes widened with fear.

She rushed up the half-stones, meowing to her mother, "I'm going to find him!"

Her mother yowled back, "He went to fight Shadoweye's parents."

Darkheart understood where that was. Shadoweye used to be her ally, but ever since the white she-cat with eyes surrounded by blackness had offended her, their parents had quarreled. This was part of the reason why Darkheart had ordered Misteyes to use her mist powers for that last scratch on the wall. *

Shadoweye was close to Bluepelt's best friend: Redfur. Redfur had caused all of Darkheart's pain for the past seasons.

To crush Redfur's heart, Misteyes had to kill who was closest to Redfur: Bluepelt. So Darkheart manipulated the gray she-cat with purple eyes into the idea of using her mist to kill Bluepelt.

Except Misteyes had refused, not wanting to kill one of her best friends in another Clan. Darkheart thought about this and told Misteyes she could attempt to kill Redfur. *

The problem was that when Misteyes found Redfur and Bluepelt at the gorge, she thought about Bluepelt instead of Redfur and killed the wrong cat: Bluepelt.

Redfur had, exactly like the original plan, been crushed by the death of the one closest to her and swore vengeance on MoonClan.

Darkheart had recently seen Redfur traveling to MoonClan through IceClan's mountains with other cats. She would attempt to destroy MoonClan, but Darkheart would kill her before that happened.
