Chapter Six
The sun was setting and Tigerpaw's littermate still hadn't returned from her training. For now the brown tabby tom laid in the Apprentice's Den alone with Wolfpaw. "Aren't you glad for our old denmates?" Tigerpaw finally spoke up. The she-cats light gray ears perked up as she turned towards the fellow apprentice. "Sure." She mumbled, "I'm just sad. I guess..." Wait, is she actually talking to me? "Well, why are you sad?" Tigerpaw said as he padded towards Wolfpaw.
The light gray apprentice looked at Tigerpaw, her icy blue eyes full of sorrow, "The one who has neared me has been lost." She whimpered. "Oh, Moonstorm?" Tigerpaw asked. "No a mousebrained RiverClan warrior!" Wolfpaw growled. Tigerpaw then forced himself into Wolfpaw's nest and wrapped his tail around the she-cat, "I'm sure she'll miss you and that she wouldn't want her kit to be sad." Wolfpaw didn't say anything but she turned to Tigerpaw. "Why don't you spend her last night in camp with her?" Wolfpaw nodded but didn't move. "Why didn't you guys wait until I got here to snuggle?" Moonpaw purred when she entered the den.
