Jayfeather was walking along the corridors, his tail sweeping from side to side. He was heading towards Mr Dustpelt's class, which was English. He hated how the teacher thought he was a fully sighted cat like the others, then treats him so speacially like a kit who is going to die any heartbeat now.
The next moment, he heard a thump and then felt some immense pain. at his back and chest. He shook his head, thinking that he just tripped on something. "Now what is Blindcat going to do?" he heard s sneer from his back. Jayfeather's tail lashed with anger. His ears were plastered to his head and claws were unseathed. He got up, but the other cat struck a hard blow onto his neck. "So what's next? Another pathethic try to get up and scurry away like a mouse-hearted coward?" the voice mocked. Then a pang of realisation hit him. It was Breezepelt, his kin. Jayfeather yowled with anger and clawed at the direction of Breezepelt's voice, but as predicted by both toms, he missed. "Oh, if only Lionblaze was here." Breezepelt sarcastically let out a pitiful wail.
Then Jayfeather heard the faint sound of footsteps thrumming on the floor.
Fallen Leaves' POV
I was walking and saw a blue tabby and black tom together. The blue tabby was on the ground with flattened ears. I realised it was Jayfeather! I ran silently along the floor, knowing that none of them wil hear my footsteps. In a swift motion, I did something that the black tom would know. I lunged at him from behind and landed a heavy blow onto his neck. "Jayfeather! Come on, we need to hurry. He wouldn't know what had hit him." I chucked softly, reaching the sightless tom. He nodded quickly and ran after me like a cat with sight, making me impressed.
(End of POV)
"Fallen Leaves?" Jayfeather shook his head slightly. "I didn't know you were there. Thanks for saving me. If it weren't for you, I'd be crowfood by now." the tom's voice was shaky. "It's all right." Fallen Leaves sighed. Jayfeather froze. "I-I have to get to class. I probably missed half of because of Breezepelt!" he spat the last sentance out with hatred. "But what will I tell them?" his voice softened, a small hint of fear in it. "The truth, Jayfeather." the calico tom replied with sympathy. Just like that, Fallen Leaves at dissapeared. He was probably leaving for his own lessons.
But what if none of them believe me?
