Metalclaw's POV:

Darkness haunted his dreams, threatening to suck him in and never let go. His breath hitched in his throat as he searched the suffocating darkness for the way out, a sign of light. Metalclaw's eyes illuminated a small area around him, causing an unnatural and eerie light to follow him wherever he went.

After a long while of padding around the darkness, Metalclaw stopped and sniffed the air. A cold feeling found its way under his skin and he shivered. The feeling was deadly familiar and he let out a soft growl. "Get out of my dreams NoName!"

Her light chuckle sounded from all sides. "Oh Metalclaw, it took you a while to realise. Have you already forgotten the smell of your own home?"

Metalclaw hissed as he tried to find the source of NoName's voice. "This is no longer my home."

"Oh really? Then... where is your home? It certainly isn't Lightclan anymore." Her gleaming white eyes appeared from the darkness and the crimson red she cat slunk towards Metalclaw, a wide grin on her lips. Metalclaw backed away with a fierce snarl but the she cat just rolled her eyes at the bigger tom. "Don't try to threaten me, Metalclaw. You know what happens to traitors."

"Am I not already a traitor?" Metalclaw raised an eyebrow, whiskers twitching. "I helped a prisoner escape and I left the Dark Forest."

NoName let out a vicious hiss, quickly reminding Metalclaw that he was in no position to talk back. "I am willing to forgive and forget.. As long as you hold up your side of the deal."

"What is this deal?" Metalclaw demanded with narrowed eyes. His thick grey tail swayed behind him nervously as NoName stopped only a mouse-length away from him. Her cold breath fanned his face, ruffling his whiskers.

The red furred she cat started walking again, pacing slow circles around Metalclaw. Her thick red tail curled around him as she padded behind him, her fur brushing against his. Metalclaw shivered. He felt disgusted at the thought of NoName simply touching him. Finally, her face appeared before his again she grinned slyly. "Do you like it? I bet Flamefur's pelt isn't as soft as mine."

Metalclaw felt his cheeks grow warm and he let out a low growl at the evil she cat. "Flamefur's fur is twice- perhaps even three times- as soft and pretty as your unnatural mess."

NoName's glowing white eyes narrowed with fake-hurt. "I'm wounded by your words, Metalclaw." Yet she inched closer still. "Now.. the deal." Metalclaw stepped back but NoName's claws suddenly pierced his cheek. "You will be my slave. Follow my every order without question and you will be rewarded."

"How will I be rewarded?" Metalclaw asked, his heart pounding in his throat.

"I will decide at the time."

Metalclaw parted his jaws to speak but NoName cut in. "And before you ask- Yes, I will keep Flamefur safe from harm. But that is all. If you refuse, she will be the first to die."

Metalclaw blinked slowly, pondering on his choices. Strangely enough, it didn't take long for him to make his decision. He kept his face hard as NoName meowed softly.

"Do you accept?"

Flamefur's POV:

Her first night as an outcast didn't work out as well as she had hoped. Flamefur had led her companions out of Lightclan territory, heading further inland. They had settled for the shade of an old oak tree for the night. They hadn't had time to collect any moss for bedding so they had to sleep on the uncomfortable ground.

Flamefur's dreams were completely silent. It was as if they were cut off from everything. Well, that's what has happened. They were away from Starclan's reach. Their dreams were no longer guarded by their ancestors.

Groggily, Flamefur blinked her eyes open and stared up at the sky. She sighed in annoyance when she saw that it was barely dawn. Her eyes were heavy and she was just about to drift back to sleep when something caught her eye. The flame coloured she cat turned her attention over to the flattened part of grass where Metalclaw slept. The sickening feeling of dread settling inside of her.

He was gone.
