As Dovestripe padded among the bushes CowPaw looked around mesmerized as they padded towards a large Meadow by a large hard piece of ground that split the grass.

Dovestripe paused and looked at CowPaw "this is the thunderpath, if you ever come across it don't cross it until you see the monsters fly past. If not they could hit you you just have to be careful."

Cowpaw interrupted "monsters!?" She felt her stomach clenching"yes and here comes one now!" She glared at the road and backed up squinting her eyes as if preparing for something. "We'll come on move back!" She yelped.

CowPaw backed away sloppily trying to copy what Dovestripe was doing. Suddenly a loud noise started down the thunderpath and it was getting closer and closer. A monster sped by the wind gust pushing CowPaw off of her paws.

Cowpaw shrunk her nose in disgust the smell was putrid "Ick" she spat digging her claws into the grass and scuffling to her paws. "That is disgusting! And scary!"

"Yes it is but not so scary once your used to it. Now come on!" Dovestripe raced across carefully. CowSpot shrunk back. Was she really going to make her do this?

By the look on Dovestripe's face she could tell she was. She hesitantly placed a paw on the rocky ground and then took another. In fear she started walking as she heard a monster approaching.

Dovestripe hissed "Hurry!!!" Cowpaw looked at it glaring eyes staring right at her. She started running and then rolled off of the thunderpath.she stood up shakily and mewed "am I in StarClan!?" Dovestripe looked at her.

She hissed "No mouse-brain" she growled "you could have gotten smashed!" CowPaw sat up and followed Dovestripe back across.

"Now across the thunderpath we just left is MeadowClan, you must not cross that border." CowPaw purred as they walked across the ravine. Suddenly Dovestripe stood on her haunches and turned her head to the side leaping after a mouse.

CowSpot watched as Dovestripe rolled on her stomach slashing the mouse with her back feet and finally biting into it's throat.

She stood up placing it in her jaws and she purred, "alright!" She looked at her while burying the prey "we are going hunting and then we will head home!" She stood up and took her to a sandy part in there borders.

She crouched and looked at her "ok do this and keep your form!" CowPaw tilted her head getting a better look at how she was crouched. She lowered herself and pride filled up in her she was sure she was doing it right.

Dovestripe trotted over and looked at her "put your shoulders behind keep your posture." She gently prodded Cowpaws upper paw and she felt her paws click into instinct.

Dovestripe purred "there you go!" She got back into a hunting crouch. "Now do what I do!" She crawled forward easily.

Cowpaw noticed how her posture was very well and so was how she walked and she looked up to her as inspiration. She took a sloppy and shaky step forward. "Your pawstep are so loud you'll scare the prey from here to DeepClan!" Dovestripe hissed playfully. "Watch carefully your putting the weight on your shoulders not your paws."

Cowpaw rewatched and noticed exactly how she did it. She lowered herself and put her weight to her paws instead of her shoulders. Though it was still a little bit of noise when she placed down a paw it was done well. Dovestripe sat up and looked at her "well done not to bad! We will go hunting tomorrow let's head back to camp."

As they started padding through the forest she couldn't help but feel excited ' I can't wait to tell RavenPaw about this!'

She was purring but did not realize and Dovestripe looked at her her gray pelt with white stripes were glowing from the sun. She saw her glance at CowPaw and purred "why are you purring?"

Shocked CowPaw looked at her "I just really found the training session fun!" She mewed and they started to walk in silence. Until she smelt a familiar smell and ran forward into camp.

"RavenPaw RavenPaw!" She purred then skidding to a halt she could hardly control her voice "would you like to talk about our training over fresh kill!?"

RavenPaw looked at her nodding but seemed upset she wondered if she had done anything and backed away. "Are you coming?" She stuttered as she said it.

"Can you please give me a second!?" He almost hissed with his claws unsheathed. Cowpaw flattened her ears and backed away in confusion and sadness. "Oh uhm I have to go get something..." She turned around and ran into the forest.

Running near the river that they had gone as kits wondering why he was acting like this . She crossed her paws placing her head on them. And a few minutes later RavenPaw showed up and sat by her. "Sorry my mentor was being very rude to me, I didn't mean to be rude!"

Cowpaw looked at him and then took the fresh kill he was pawing towards her. After Dovestripe showing her all around the territory she was tired and starving.

Tearing a piece of vole she listened to him "all I learned was the territories! Then he took me back to the camp." He muttered "but when I saw the thunderpath I was very scared!"

She purred "me to! I also learned the hunting crouch it was so fun!"

Finally he meowed something "would you like to go on a swim?" Cowpaw jumped to her paws "yes yes yes! Of course! " They both leaped into the water and swam under. She swam right back up and splashed him with her paw.

It was getting late and CowPaw needed sleep for the training session. "Let's go!" She yowled and started running through the forest and leaping into the apprentice den.

He purred and curled up and so did she as she quietly fell asleep right there because of her exhaustion she wrapped her tail around herself.
