Sparklemoey told Lightningfur everything. By the end of the story, me and Thunderpaw were both shocked to see Lightningfur fall to the ground crying. "Now, now, my sweet warrior. It was bound to happen sometime, and you knew it." Mom croaked. "I know." Lightningfur stood up. "But I am just not ready to loose you yet!" He yowled. I slowly padded up to my brother and licked his cheek as comforting as I could, but he jerked away and lay down next to Sparklemoey. Me and Thunderpaw padded up and lay with Sparklemoey too. Lightningfur glared at us, but we ignored him. From the start, we knew Lightningfur wanted Sparklemoey all to himself.

I didn't know how long we sat with Sparklemoey. But I'm sure a while because both Lightningfur and Thunderoaw were asleep. I had just woke up myself. I looked at Sparklemoey. To my relief, I could see Sparklemoey's chest rising and falling as she breathed slowly. But my relief turned to horror as her breathing went to small little sniffs. Then, she looked up at me slowly. "Take good care of the clan, and all the cats in it. I am so proud of you." She sucked in an unsteady gasp of air, then, "I always loved you more..." were her last words until her breathing stopped at she went still. "NOOO!!!!!" I yowled. My mew if sadness must have woken my siblings because they both jumped to their paws. "What!?" Thunderpaw mewed anxiously. "She's dead! Mother's dead!" I cried. Thunderpaw froze. But Lightningfur dashed to are mothers' side.

"I'll go inform Stonestar..." I mopped out of the medicine den and to my leaders den. "Stonefur?" I called. "Yes, Stormyfur?" The toms voice came from inside. "Come in." He mewed. I stepped in. "What is it?" He asked. I knew exactly what I was to tell him. "StarClan has taken another life from our clan." I mewed, almost at once.
