I padded slowly to Stonestar's den. I finally reached his den. I was about to call out to my leader, but he smelled me first. He poked his head through the vines. "Ah~ Stormyfur, c'mon in." He said urgently then ran back in.

I padded swiftly into his den and sat down. "Yes, Stonestar?" I asked. "Remember the dogs?" "Yes..." I replied, started to get even more worried than I already was. "Well, I went out into the forest to do some checking up on things when I saw dog tracks leading through the forest." He explained. "Go on..." I urged. Oh my, StarClan.... no... I thought.

"I need the strongest of our warriors to go and follow the trail and see where it leads." My eyes widened with horror. "O-of course, right away!" I meowed and ran out of the den, not waiting to be dismissed.

I raced into the warrior den. I need all warriors lined up outside the den immediately!" I called through the tunnel. Then, I sat down and waited impatiently for the cats. The first to emerge from the tunnel was Shadowpelt, Cinderflight, and Thunderheart, Lightningfur, and Tornclaw, finally Moondrop came after her. "What now?" Shadowpelt meowed. "Well, whatever it is, it better be good!" Lightningfur growled.

"Ignore them, Stormyfur." Thunderheart told me, throwing a quick warning glance at Shadowpelt and my brother Lightningfur. "Tell us what you need, and we will do it." Thornclaw meowed, followed by a nod of agreement from Cinderflight.

"Thank you." I blinked at Thornclaw, Thunderheart, and Cinderflight. "I have to ruin this touching moment," Shadowpelt meowed. "but can you please get on with it?" She snapped. I rolled my eyes.

"Stonestar has told me that he saw dog tracks in the woods..." I was interrupted by a hiss from Moondrop. "Dogs?" "Yes, dogs." I repeated. "Anyways, he said he wants his best warriors to go and follow the trail. I will be picking which of you I will come with me." I explained. "Of course, you have to pick." Lightningfur grumbled.

"Of course she to choose! She's deputy! And Stonestar trusts her with this." Thunderheart growled. I nodded my thanks to him and continued. "The warriors I choose are: Lightningfur, Cinderflight, and Thornclaw." I announced. "I can't help but asked," Thornclaw meowed. "But, why did you pick me? I have only been a warrior for 3 moons." He said to me.

"Because, this will be good for a new warrior." I told him. "Now, Thunderheart, Moondrop, Shadowpelt. I want you three to stay here and guard the camp." I instructed. They nodded. "The rest of you, c'mon. There is no time to waste. We must follow that trail as soon as possible!"
