"How do you like eating the fresh-kill so far?" Pinkie asked when the two got hungry again. "I love it! everything is so juicy and delicious!" "Well then, let's share a mouse!" Pinkie plopped a plumb mouse between the two, as they ate they listened to the elders talk. "So when do you think Celestia is going to appoints a new deputy?" Asked Mr.Waddle. Granny looked up at the moon, "Not long..." Her elderly voice mewed.

"Remover when Celestia herself was appointed deputy." Another elder joined the conversation. "Of course it was right after she lost her kits."

Just as if on cue Celestia jumped onto the Highrock, her voice echoing through camp. When Rainbow got up for her half of fresh-kill she saw Luna looking towards the elder. I guess she heard their gossip. The rest of the clan slowly came out of their stone dens. "I know we still mourn for Sombra..." Her voice trailed off as she looked at her old deputy's dead body."But as I cat said to me many moons ago, 'The life of the Clan must move on'. And now it is time for a new deputy to be appointed. But first we must have a moment of silence to give thanks to Sombra, by giving him a moment of silence."

When Celestia paused, she dipped her head and the rest of the clan did that same. Even the noisiest kits were as silent as a mouse. "Now," Celestia started, "I shall name the new ThunderClan deputy."

Rainbow Dash looked at Luna. She couldn't help but see the hunger in Luna's light blue eyes as she starred at her elder sister on the Highrock.

"Cadence," Celestia meowed, "will be the new deputy of ThunderClan."

Author's Note

Sorry it took so long to update, I've been busy with school and soccer. Plus I read Bluestar's Prophecy & Yellowfang's Secret. Which really made me cry. Plus I started to read The New Prophecy. Yes, I know I'm super behind. But I'm catching up, so yay! And you might be thinking this is kind of like the actual book. Well ya it's going to be like the book...but there will be a plot twist so get ready. (P.S I'm using the book :D) See ya!
