Chapter 31: Special Chapter
Dime's POV:
"She bit me!" NoName's wail echoed from the den just before the red she cat came bursting out, racing to Dime where he lay nearby. "Velvet bit me again!"
Dime rolled his eyes and looked up from his meal; a half-eaten mouse. "NoName, she doesn't like you. She's going to bite you whenever she gets the chance."
"That's not true." NoName cried, favouring one of her paws. Dime noticed a small bead of blood running down her crimson fur where Velvet had bitten her. "She loves me! I'm kind to her!"
"You stole her from her family and locked her in a cage." Dime responded bluntly, pawing at his mouse with a sigh. "And you're trying to feed her meat."
"Zephyr hasn't come back with the information yet." NoName sniffed, her whiskers twitching in anger. "How am I supposed to know what she wants to eat?"
"Try some grass or leaves, it's what all prey eats," Dime took a bite from his mouse, "or berries and nuts." He said through his mouthful.
The red she cat lashed her thick tail, settling down beside him. "Why can't she just appreciate me? I'm not trying to be mean." She muttered, her white eyes narrowed in disappointment.
"Velvet's a rabbit, it's what they do." Dime replied, nudging his mate reassuringly. "Why don't we take your mind off her for a bit. Maybe check on the prisoners? See what they've been up to lately."
NoName smiled slightly and shrugged. "Sure, why not. Maybe if we're lucky we can torture a few."
"That's the sprit." Dime chuckled, lifting himself onto his paws. "Let's go." He started for the Prison, listening for NoName's footsteps behind him. She was silent as always, stalking after him with a lethal smile on her face.
They passed the group of warriors chatting by the fresh-kill pile and Dime sensed the red she cat tense up behind him as their stares turned to her. She was always so unrelaxed and agitated around everyone, giving off the perfect image of the ruthless Dark Forest leader they expected her to be.
The two stepped through the Prison entrance. "NoName, Dime." The guards greeted and dipped their heads low, letting them pass into the darkness beyond.
Dime grinned as the prisoners lifted their heads to look at the visitors, immediately letting out mews of shock and fear. The ones closest to the two leaders swiftly darted away, trying to hide themselves in the shadows of the den.
"Bow." NoName's cool snarl rang behind him, her muzzle appearing in his peripheral vision as she stepped beside him.
Most prisoners obeyed her command, their heads dipping to look at their paws. Only a select few defied her, their eyes still gleaming brightly with life in the darkness.
"Bow." NoName snarled again, the shadows gathering thickly around her paws. "Now."
The remaining prisoners soon dipped their heads in a bow. Dime felt his mate shiver at the power she held over the cats.
"Why are you here?" A grey she cat dared to ask, her gaze flicking between Dime and NoName timidly.
Dime bared his teeth at the she cat. "Just here to check on you all." He replied. "To see how you've all been doing."
NoName's ears swivelled to listen behind them, her tail twitching. "Jay, which prisoner here has been the most trouble?" She didn't even look at the guard as she spoke to him, her white eyes still illuminating the frightened figures of the prisoners.
The tom turned his dark eyes to Silvershy, his lips forming a scowl. "That one." He rumbled with flattened ears.
Dime muttered in response. "Of course it's Silvershy."
The silver she cat bared her teeth in a threatening snarl, her bright green eyes glaring into Dime. He growled back at her.
NoName smirked at Silvershy and lifted her paw. "It's about time I let my shadows play. They've been dying to be set free."
Silvershy stayed in her spot like a shield for the other prisoners, her fur bristling with anger. "Go on then, give me your best shot!" The Lightclan warrior yowled. "I'm not scared!"
"Oh you will be." Dime promised her, his claws sliding from their sheathes. "'Cause if the shadows don't break you, I will."

Curledtail's POV:
He slunk through the shadows of the Prison, eyeing NoName and Dime as he crept right behind them. Nobody had noticed his slow approach to the two tyrants.
This was his chance at revenge! He'd slay NoName for all she had done to the clans. He'd make her watch as he killed her mate to make her feel the same pain he had when his kit had been murdered.
He could nearly taste her sweet, sweet blood on his jaws as he came within a tail-length of her swaying tail. He knew he'd have to act quickly; Jay was sitting guard close by and would kill him heartbeats after he leapt for NoName. Hopefully his fellow prisoners would follow his lead and they'd be able to overpower the three Dark Forest fox-hearts.
Curledtail bared his teeth. He was a snake poised and ready to kill.
Then, just as NoName sent a swarm of shadows at Silvershy, Curledtail lunged for her. He knocked her down with ease, pinning the small she cat under his paws. "This is for Cherrykit!" He screeched, digging his claws into her chest.
NoName shrieked and kicked at him, hissing and spitting in shock. Curledtail stayed firmly on the red she cat, watching with sick joy as blood welled from the fresh scratches on her chest. He moved in for the killing bite but he'd taken too long. Dime and Jay leapt for him in unison, slamming into him with a force strong enough to break bones.
Curledtail was sent sprawling on the ground near the prisoners' paws. He lifted his head, dizzy from the fall, and stared up at his companions. "Fight! Fight! Fight!" He bellowed. "This is your chance to kill them! To be free!"
The prisoners let out uncertain mews, their eyes wide as Jay slunk towards Curledtail while Dime tended to NoName.
"Help me!" Curledtail snarled, slowly rising to his paws. "We can kill them together!" He looked at Jay, hatred burning in his eyes. The Dark Forest warrior grinned wildly at him, his claws scraping against the hard floor.
Then Silvershy launched herself at Jay with a shriek. She was a blur of silver as she attacked; swiping, ducking and whirling around the large tom. Curledtail attacked with the she cat and they soon brought Jay to his knees.
"Now!" Curledtail wailed at the prisoners. "We have to kill NoName now!"
But the prisoners didn't move an inch. They were petrified as they backed into a tight group, huddled together as they stared at the fight before them.
"Ha!" Jay snorted, shaking his head as blood dripped from a cut on his muzzle. "You mouse-brains! You're both dead!"
Curledtail gaped at the prisoners. "Do something! Don't let them live after what they did to you!"
NoName's sharp growl interrupted him, her white eyes blazing with rage. "Dime, kill him."
Curledtail's eyes widened as Dime turned his gaze to him, but the dark tom replied. "No, I won't be the one to kill him." His smirk grew. "Shadeheart will."
