The treaty

Aleah let out a wail as she clawed at her hair. What have I done? Clarke may have delivered the killing blow, but she felt as if though she were just as much to blame.

Lexa bent down by her. "Pull yourself together. From what you told me, the boy wanted this outcome. Now, change your clothes. The people have accepted you again, but you know as well as I how fragile that peace is. Lucky for you, I brought a change.

Aleah nodded as she took in a deep breath, splashing water into her face. "I'm ready."

Lexa entered the tent, head held high. Indra and Aleah followed her example as they followed, side by side. They moved to either side of the chair as Lexa sat down.

"Blood has answered blood. Some of my people say it's not enough. They want the murderer to have suffered as our tradition demands." Her green eyes met Clarke's blue ones.

"What they do not know is that your suffering shall be worst. What you've done will haunt you for the rest of your days. Still, we must have remediation. His body will be token to TonDc. Murdered and Murderer joined by fire."

The man who had questioned Aleah spoke up. "No, no, we've done enough."

Aleah met his eyes. Her voice was hoarse from her screaming, but remained even. "If you don't allow them to take him, his sacrifice will have been in vain. The people would all but ask for a war."

"We'll do it. But when we're done, we talk about how to get our people out of Mount Weather."

Lexa nearly smiled. "We want the same things Clarke."

"Good, when do we leave?"

Lexa arched her eyebrows. "Now." Standing up, she maintained eye contact with the blonde. "Choose your contenders."

Lexa stalked out of the tent, closely followed by Indra and Aleah, who lingered momentarily. "I'm sorry Clarke, but he would have turned himself in with or without my assistance. I was just trying to stop a war."

The blonde scoffed. "You did it for yourself. They welcomed you with open arms, right?"

Her gaze faltered slightly. "Perhaps. But the outcome was the same." Aleah left the members of Skaikru alone to discuss.

Lexa glanced over her shoulder. "Cha na emo sen op?" [Who will they send?]

Aleah saddled up her black mare. "Klark, Reivon, Kane, Mrs. Griffin...Belomi. Mebi Okteivia. [Clarke, Raven, Kane, Mrs. Griffin...Bellamy. Maybe Octavia.]

"Are eni kom emo a threat gon oso hukop?" [Are any of them a threat to our alliance?]

"Ai nou fig raun krei. Emo na pis, ba bilaik manao." [I do not think so. They'll be angry, but that is to be expected.]

Lexa turned to her body guard. "Ai op? Yu get daun gon nui." [See? You worry to much.]

Her sad eyes watched Bellamy from her spot by Lexa. The commander huffed. "Gyon au." [Go.]

At the command, Aleah shot her sister a thankful glance before approaching. The boy glanced up at her with a bitter expression. "You actually did it."

She bent down by him. "I didn't want to, you have to know that."

He shook his head. "We could have protected him."

Her eyes softened. "Us and what army? All we would've done is start a war we could never win. Instead of one dying, all six of us would have, if not the hundreds you have back at camp."

He shook his head. Sighing he held out his arms. Aleah let out a relieved sigh as she accepted. "We shouldn't fight, it's not worth it. Now go to sleep."

The girl nuzzled her face into his chest. "Alright. We can talk in the morning."

The boy mutely nodded as he stroked her hair. "No, we should talk now. We never discussed what you pulled with Mount Weather."

Aleah pinces the bridge of her nose as she sits up. "What happened to 'go to sleep?'"

Bellamy shrugged. "No better time to talk about this than now. Look, I get why you did it. You just wanted to make sure everyone was okay, and I get that. Aleah, Clarke told me all about what they do to your people. And the thought of them catching you and stringing you up like some animal makes me sick."

Her expression softened. "Ai haihefa..."

"No, I'm not done. Don't 'My King' me just yet. Clarke has a plan for me to go in."

A look of anger crossed her face. "Bellamy..."

"You're going to let me do it, and you're going to stay out of it."

Aleah glowered at her boyfriend. "There's no way in hell I am."

Bellamy sighed as he grabbed her by the shoulders. "Look at me. I can do this, you taught me how to fight and sneak around, remember?"

Aleah crosses her arms. "Doesn't mean I want you to do something like this alone."

"I'll be fine. And you staying here...that's the only way I can assure you'll be fine, too."

Aleah went to protest again before he cut her off. "Don't make me take this up with the commander this late at night. I might not be able to stop you, but I bet her army can."

That silenced the girl. Bellamy pulled her into a hug. "Hey, I'll be okay, promise. I love you to much to leave you alone."

Aleah closed her eyes. "Fine. I'll stay, for you my king."
