Octavia

Makira's obsidian eyes focused on the sky. She had seen the light. Everyone had. More sky people.

Sighing, she pinched the bridge of her nose. They're creating too much noise. They'll start a war.

She made her way to the cave she shared before freezing. "Lincoln, chomouda ste der a gada raun middle kom oso floor?" [Lincoln, why is there a girl in the middle of our floor?]

The girl in question began to panic.  Makira bent down and decided to try a different root. "Hi, sorry if I scared you, I didn't think I'd come home to find a stranger in my house, but I guess I should get used to it. I'm not going to hurt you. Are you alright?"

The girl let out a gasp. "My leg..."

Makira nodded. "Alright. Lucky for you, I am a healer. I have to warn you: it will hurt." Grabbing a knife out of her boot, Makira stuck it in the flames. "I'm Makira. What is your name?"

The brunette gasped slightly. "As in the one who helped Jasper?"

She pulled her blade from the fire. "The very one. Hold still."

The sky person let out a scream as the metal seared her flesh.

Makira winced. "Sorry. What is your name?"

After a moment or two, Makira received an answer. "Octavia. My...Ah...my brother Bellamy met you a couple of days ago."

Her eyebrows furrowed with confusion. "Which one was Bellamy? I didn't stop to take names."

"Curly hair."

Kira nodded. "Ah yes. He has a lot of fight in him. I shall retrieve your people. You shall wait for a Lincoln to return and help you."

The single healer navigated through the woods with ease until she reached a jumble of footsteps. She cursed underneath her breath before turning and following them.

Her eyes widened as she realized their destination. Makira leapt from tree to tree, trying to make up for lost time. Finally, she could hear the shouts. Makira passed the first fallen child from the stars and kept running. She did the one thing she could think of. She shouted the one thing she knew about the sky people: a single name. "Bellamy!"

Her heart pounded in her ears as she raced against time itself. She had already knocked out two of her own. She was risking too much and she knew it, too.

Makira pulled to a stop as she reached the teens. She practically hissed her words out at them. "What do you think you're doing, you complete, utter idiots."

The curly haired space teen went to answer but she cut him off. "If you want to survive long enough to find your sister, follow me."

Not waiting for a response, she bounded ahead of the group. The did the one thing that they could do: they followed.

Bellamy quickly fell in stride with the frantic girl. "My sister?"

Not even sparing him a glance, Kira answered. "Did I stutter? Octavia, am I correct?"

He grabbed her arm firmly. "Is she okay?"

The grounder nodded. "Broke her leg, but she'll live. The question is will we. The answer is no if you don't shut up and follow."

She drew to a stop as a horn echoed through the woods. The boy with the long hair took out an orange cloth. Kira cursed as he dragged her under. "Yu branwoda. Disha won't shil op osir! Osir're stedaunon. D-e-a-d." [You fool. This won't protect us! We're dead. D-E-A-D.]

Jasper tapped her shoulder. "Umm Kira, we can't understand you."

She huffed before repeating her words. "I called him an idiot and started yelling about how we're dead."

Bellamy raised an eyebrow. "Is idiot your favorite word or some shit, princess?"

Makira brushed some of her brown hair back. "No, I am just stating what you guys are." She was silent for a moment or two more. "Alright, this is taking to long." Sticking her head out of the tent, her vision focused on Lincoln. "It's safe. Come."

They followed the girl to the entrance of a cave. She moved aside. "Octavia was here when I left. Go on."

She entered last only to find Octavia in chains and Lincoln unconscious. Kira quirked an eyebrow. "You succeeded in knocking him out. I am almost impressed."

Octavia smiled slightly as her brother embraced her. "Thanks I guess."

One second, everything was fine. The next, chaos.
