Silverstar's P.O.V:

Silverstar led the clan back to camp.

The death toll from the battle was only three, thank Starclan. Fernpelt, Stormwhisker and Sparklingfish were being carried back to camp for their night-long vigil as they made their way to Starclan.

They reached Lightclan camp just as the moon reached its highest point. Silverstar placed Fernpelt in the middle of the clearing with Stormwhisker and Sparklingfish lying beside him. Clearlight pressed his nose against Stormwhisker's cold, stiff pelt. Clearlight was Stormwhisker's father, Silverstar reflected.

Bluestorm and Whitetail crouched beside Clearlight and pressed themselves again their fallen sibling.

Slowsky and Bigstep padded sadly to Fernpelt's side. They silently wept for their kit and settled beside him. Silverstar sat beside them and watched as everyone else gathered around them, wishing the three fallen cats good luck on their trip to Starclan.

Stormflame's P.O.V:

Stormflame stood awkwardly beside Sparklingfish. It was his turn to wish her luck on her way to their ancestors. He had never really talked much to Sparklingfish eccept the day they caught him in their territory, when he was still a rogue. That day seemed so long ago, Stormflame reflected wistfully. If he were being completely honest, he did miss being a rogue... but being a Warrior was so much better.

He bent his head down and whispered to Sparklingfish, "Good luck up there." Then he turned away to let Fluffystream through and padded away from the crowded clan. He watched Silverstar as she wept for her deputy, Fernpelt.

Then it hit him, Who will be the new deputy?

He glanced at the moon. It was already past moonhigh, Silverstar had disobeyed the rule of appointing a new deputy by moonhigh!

"S-Silverstar?" Stormflame whispered to his leader softly. "You need to appoint a new deputy."

Silverstar looked up, her eyes were filled with sadness and longing, "Yes I know." She got to her paws and padded to the Hightree. She climbed slowly as if her muscles weren't working properly. 

Finally, she reached her branch where she did meetings and yowled, "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath the Hightree for a clan meeting!" Her voice was faint but grew stronger as she spoke.

The cats looked up from around their dead clanmates and watched Silverstar as she began the ceremony.

Silverstar fixed her gaze on Stormflame, her eyes now shining proudly. "I say these words before StarClan, so that the spirits of our warrior ancestors may hear and approve of my choice. The new deputy of Lightclan is Stormflame."

Since I enjoy writing this series so much (and the fact that my Senpai, xxVinylScratchxx is really eager for the new book :3) I will hopefully post Book 4 soon! I just need to think of plots and things and perhaps an new prophecy.. bla bla bla.. So if you have any awesome ideas for book 4, please don't hesitate to comment them and I might use it!!

Warriors: The Fallen Star.
