It was the day of the duel, all 3 clans gathered around the Battle Field, a place where duels were fought. Many conversations were going on at once and many cats were still taking their seats so once everyone was seated, the duel began. Loyalstar and Pridestar jumped onto a high boulder and waited for everyone to quiet down. "Unfortunately, Bravestar has died. This duel will be determining who will be the next leader of Braveclan." Loyalstar solemnly meowed and the crowd sat in respectful silence for a moment. Pridestar seemed to roll his eyes before continuing"On the right we have Boulderrumble!" Suddenly, out of the sagging branches of a tree, Boulderrumble shot out of the tree and onto the ground making the crowd roar."On the left we have Sandstone!" Pridestar roared. Sandstone jumped off a rock and onto the ground, her chest puffed out and her tail held high, this raised some cheers but not as many as Boulderrumble had got."Ready," Loyalstar meowed and the duelers got closer together."Steady," Loyalstar continued and the 2 got ready to attack or dodge."Go!" Pridestar finished and the 2 started. Boulderrumble pounced on top of Sandstone, only to get rolled off and scratched on the cheek. After the roll, Sandstone left her belly exposed and Boulderrumble pounced again, but this time landing right on her exposed belly. Sandstone hissed, kicked and twisted her way out and had enough time to land a hit on his shoulder. Suddenly, Boulderrumble got low to the ground and knocked Sandstone off her feet which resulted in her face planting into the ground. Boulderrumble pinned Sandstone down and bit into her neck, making her squeal in agony. With Sandstone's final breath, she hurled Boulderrumble off, stood up on two legs, and came barreling down, her claws digging into his back. The crowd gasped as Sandstone collapsed on top of Boulderrumble, her eyes fogging and her limbs hanging. Boulderrumble threw Sandstone's body off of him and soaked in the cheers of the crowd."Our winner is....... Boulderrumble!" Pridestar hollered.
