After Sunstream explained her plan to Gingersplash, she realized something. Whiterain had never said when she wanted Gingersplash to leave and go on the quest. "Change of plan" Sunstream said to her sister. "You're not going to do what they say. The only way Whiterain could know what is happening is to have a mole in our clan, and we're going to figure out who. Meet with Flamestar and tell him about seeing some strange cats near the edge of the forest. The mole will just think that you are telling him about going on the quest. I could even start putting together the traveling herbs. Everything will work out fine, don't worry."

Gingersplash thought that she'd probably end up dead, but at least she'd die trying. Trying to save her future, her clan's future, and most important- her family's future. That was all that mattered to her. As long as her clan and her family were okay, then she was okay, even if she actually wasn't.
