Bramblepaw was padding calmly next to his Clanmates to the great oak, they went faster once they passes the tree line where Heartpaw died. They were the first ones to arrive and started settling down to chat with their own Clanmates or share tongues with them. SeaClan arrived soon after and immediately started conversing with the other cats. Bramblepaw then looked over to see Squirrelpaw quarreling with Foreststorm over something. "You do not speak to a senior warrior like that Squirrelpaw," growled Foreststorm sharply. "Last time I checked you're not my mentor, Foreststorm," grumbled Squirrelpaw back. Foreststorm growled frustratingly and slinked off towards a group of senior-looking warriors from SeaClan. Meadowlight the deputy of SeaClan then padded over to Squirrelpaw and quietly sat beside her. "You really shouldn't talk back to him like that," muttered Meadowlight teasing her. "Oh, be quiet. You think nobody here knows that the only reason you became the SeaClan deputy was because you're Ravenstar's precious kit?," growled back Squirrelpaw. Meadowlight narrowed her eyes and cuffed her on the side of her head making her yowl loud enough for the group near them to hear. The small group of SeaClan cats nearby started to mrrow in laughter, and Squirrelpaw had the look of pure humiliation. Shrewpaw shook her head breaking her gaze at Squirrelpaw. "So I heard that you will be a warrior from Rushshine," meowed Shrewpaw with a slightly bitter tone. "She only told me that to spare my feelings. Firepaw is a whole lot older and more experienced than I am so she was probably hinting it towards her," murmured Bramblepaw dejectedly. Shrewpaw nodded and then went to go sit beside their sister. Bramblepaw then went to climb on a fairly large root from the great oak and searched through the two Clans to see her pale ginger tabby father sitting beside Tabbyheart and Shortshine. Bramblepaw immediately leaped down and dashed across the giant clearing to his father and the two warriors near him. "F-father?," stuttered Bramblepaw when he finally stood in front of his father. Deeppool shifted his gaze to the apprentices' and his eyes immediately widened in surprise. "Now this is the day I get to see my son," meowed Deeppool. "We'll leave you two to it," meowed Shortshine and flicked her tail for Tabbyheart to follow. "You mean your son and daughters," replied Bramblepaw when his nerves have finally settled down. Deeppool tilted his head sideways and he yowled out to get Littlepaw and Shrewpaw's attention. As Littlepaw ran over to them she stopped looking at a SeaClan tom, called Smoothstorm. Smoothstorm was nuzzling Ravenstar, his mate, whilst speaking to their only daughter, Meadowlight. Bramblepaw snapped his attention with a flick of his tail. "These are my sisters, Shrewpaw and Littlepaw," meowed Bramblepaw carefully. mewed Littlepaw nervously. "This is our father, Deeppool," meowed Bramblepaw ecstatically.  All three of Deeppool's kits touched noses with him and shared stories. Eventually MoonClan and FrostClan arrived and each leader went to take their place on the large roots of the great oak. Ravenstar spoke up first while Meadowstar flicked her tail to silence the talkative Clans. "A couple of sundowns ago, we were attacked by a badger. We managed to fight it off but... I lost a life. And one of our apprentices, Cherrypaw was killed," meowed Ravenstar to the crowd of cats miserably. Bramblepaw didn't even listen to Quietstar's report, what he did notice was Firepaw nuzzling Bramblepaw's flank affectionately and purring. But that wasn't the only thing he noticed,  Littlepaw was leaning against an apprentice from MoonClan. Bramblepaw instantly recognised their white and brown pelt, it was Skypaw. That MoonClan tom is nuzzling Littlepaw as if they were mates! Doesn't that idiot sister of mine know what she's doing?  But his thoughts vanished when he realised he missed Russetstar's report as well. "We too have lost an apprentice, Heartpaw. He was trying to catch a giant hawk but fell to the bottom of the cliff and lost too much blood," meowed Meadowstar sadly.
