Sunpaw did not have a good sleep but he still had to wake up and do his duties. "Sunpaw, elder duties!" Crystalshine's voice rang through the camp. Sunpaw grumbled and padded out of then den. "Did you have to yowl to the whole Clan like that?" Sunpaw complained but humor glimmered in his eyes. "Of you go" Crystalshine ignored him her tail twitching mischievously. Sunpaw walked over to the elders den. "Hi Applefrost, hi Greyfoot" Sunpaw said cheerfully. "I have come to clean out your den". "Well get on with it then" Applefrost grumbled. She could be grumpy but most of the time she was pretty nice. Sunpaw spent the while morning making the elders den perfect. "Do you want any prey" Sunpaw asked. "Sure" awnsered Greyfoot. "But you have to share with us" "but.."Sunpaw protested "no but's, you deserve some, the elders den has never looked better" Greyfoot cut in. Sunpaw shared the prey and Greyfoot told a story about SparkClan's creator Sparkstar.

After the story Sunpaw had nothing to do so he padded over to Leafdapple's den to ask about the whole 'darkness coming' thing. "Leafdapple" Sunpaw called into the medicine den "yes Sunpaw?" She asked. "Can we talk privately?" Sunpaw asked. "Yes, come here. Is it about the coming darkness?" She asked "sorry if I freaked you out" she apologised. "Yes it is. How am I supposed to save everyone! I'm just a stupid SparkClan apprentice. Can't some big scary FireClan cat do the job?" Sunpaw blurted out. "It's not my choice Sunpaw and your not stupid, you beat Redpaw yesterday!" Leafdapple rested her tail on his shoulder. "Here I'll tell you the prophecy. The new dawn of the Clans is coming, the Sun and Moon will rise to stop the Red darkness" Leafdapple said. "Wait, you said the Sun and Moon, so there is two cats involved?" Sunpaw questioned her. "Yes, sorry I forgot to mention that" Leafdapple gave him a smug look. "Maybe the second cat is Moonlily?" Sunpaw said excitedly. "Maybe" said Leafdapple quietly "but I see a bad future ahead for her" Sunpaw flinched, Moonlily was Snowpaw's mentor and she was really nice.

Sunpaw kept a close eye on Moonlily for the next couple of days but nothing seemed to be wrong. His training was going really well but Redpaw ruined it a lot of times. Snowpaw didn't care though she just sighed when ever he did something even if he was smashing Ashpaw to pieces. Sunpaw was bored so he called Ashpaw and asked if he wanted to come hunting with him. "Yeah, lets go!" Ashpaw ran out of the camp. Sunpaw followed and quickly overtook him. "Your a fat mouse" Sunpaw squealed. "No I'm not" Ashpaw protested. Ashpaw caught up to Sunpaw and leapt onto him squashing him. "Ha who is a mouse now?" Ashpaw said triumphantly. "Get of you fat lump. We are supposed to be hunting" Sunpaw said humor danced in his eyes. They caught lots of prey and when they got home they were praised. But Sunpaw saw Redpaw glare at him through the shadows.
