I'm going to start with a statement that will BLOW your minds.

Different-Clan relationships are good.

Now, now. Hold your cliche screaming horses.There is a reason that I say this. And that reason is...inbreeding.

Now, for those people who didn't watch the Game Theory video on inbreeding, this is basically when two...creatures who are closely related-- like siblings, cousins, or uncles/aunts (ew, I know)-- mate. And have babies. Their babies are far more likely to have gentic disorders, and it is fairly simple why.

I'm going to assume that *most* of you know how babies inherit genes, right? They get half from each of their parents. For example, If one parent had a dominate allele, with their parents having a dominant (G) and recessive (g), and the other didn't, you would make a punnet square, like this...

See how the results are Gg, Gg, gg, and gg? Gg, with one dominant allele (G) would be a dominant gene, as "G" trumps "g". gg, however, would be recessive, as there is no dominant allele (G) to cover it up.

Now, generally, if one parent give said baby a messed up gene, the other can make up for it. BUT when these people share a common ancestor with said messed up gene, it is likely that this parent will have a trace too. And it shows up in the baby,

So, let's look at ThunderClan. Stop and think how old this Clan is for a second. Quite old, right? And they all came from the same ancestors, which means that ALL these cats that are happily making little kits are probably blood related. DustXFern? Uncle and niece. WillowXPatch? *Siblings.* Heck, even SquirrelXBramble are related (second cousins)!

Which brings me to my point- most cats in every Clan are related, and they are therefore not as strong as they could be.

Cats from different Clans? Probably still related, but that's so distant it doesn't do much of anything. So when *these* cats have kits, theirs are likely very powerful. Next part- Forbidden Relationships!
