Where is the REAL Old Forest?

Where exactly does the Warrior Cats universe take place? We have a few hints, but not much to go on.

-In UK

-Must be 100 miles within an ocean facing west

-Must be within 100 of a mountain capable of producing snow most months

According to answers.com, the average walking speed of a cat is 4.72km/h. For calculation purposes, we will round thing up to 5km/h. We can also expect that these cats walked <90% of the time.

And according to the Warriors wiki, the journey to the sundown place took ten days.

If these cats walked nonstop for 12 hours each day, they would get roughly 60 kilometres a day, but as we see in the books, the cats constantly stop or get in some sort of trouble, or need to hunt, or treat sick cats, ect. Let's divide 60 to get 20 - 30 kilometres a day.

So if they do that speed for ten days, they will rack up around 200 kilometres, or 124 miles. To find where warriors takes place, we need to find a mountain with snow, between a forest and an ocean facing west. They all need to be within 124 miles of eachother.

But wait! According to Vicky, one of the Erins, she stated that 'The first series was set in a place called the New Forest, which is in the county of Hampshire in the south of England, close to the coast. If you look at a map of the New Forest, you'll see the same road layout as on the Warriors maps, although we made up Highstones because there are no mines in this area. This explains why the cats mostly encounter British wildlife such as foxes and badgers, rather than raccoons or elk. However, for The New Prophecy, we invented a completely new landscape with mountains and a lake, neither of which can be found anywhere near the real New Forest.'

So is this the end of the theory?

No!

In the photos, it show that New Forest is within 200 kilometres or 124 miles of water! And if they traveled the right way, of course they could find a beach facing west!

Now looking at photos of New Forest, the terrain is quite flat. No mountains. So I've asked a UK inhabitant, Hazel to help me. This is what she said.

'Ooh, I don't think so, no. There is a large expanse of big trees kind of at the back of WindClan territory but as far as I'm aware there's no mountains.'

So is that it? Yes. There is no proper clan territory. I've searched everywhere for mountains near the park, but I've had no luck. So unfortunately, this theory is a bust.

BUT! If you have ANY information that could benefit a part two *wink wink* of this theory DM us!

Silver, out
