Firepaw and Graypaw walked through the forest. The moon was high in the sky, and a gentle breeze blew through their fur. Graypaw had convinced Firepaw to go exploring after all of the other cats were asleep.

"Hey Firepaw, I picked up a weird scent. It doesn't smell pleasent," Graypaw told him.

Firepaw sniffed the air, and sure enough, there was a different scent. It was the worst thing Firepaw had ever smelled.

"Let's go find whatever it is!" Graypaw said excitedly, before he ran of into the woods.

It didn't take long for the two friends to find the source of the smell. Up ahead, there was a black and white creature, to small to be a badger. When it saw Graypaw and Firepaw, it turned around, lifted it's tail, and without warning, sprayed them with the aweful smell.

"Hey! That wasn't nice, you mouse brain!" Firepaw yelled at it, but it was already gone.

Firepaw and Graypaw tried to wash the smell out of their coat in the river, but they were no better smelling by the time they got back to camp.

"Everyone gather around for a clan meeting!" Bluestars voice boomed over the clan. "As some of you may have smelled already, two of our apprentices stink! I now say this in front of you all, knowing you will agree with my decision, these two are now banished from the clan and our territory!"
