Rose P.O.V

I opened my eyes looking at the clear sky. I was lying down on the soft grass. Birds were chirping, wind was blowing, it was a serene environment. I laid there for a bit absorbing the sunlight and cherishing in the moment.

Is this heaven?

Last thing I remembered, I was turned into ashes after I closed the portal to hell, I thought I would be lost in abyss forever because of the sins I committed but this is different. I slowly stand up on the grass, I looked down at myself, I was wearing white floral dress, my hairs flowing on my back freely. I started walking and noticed I am bare feet as well. 

Where am I really?

I walked further in the forest, this place looks exact like Baruna. I miss that place, my time there but its all gone now. It seems like nobody is here, I tried to use my enhanced hearing to know if anybody is here, but I couldn't hear anything that is far. I cocked my head in confusion, this never happened to me before. I called the power within me but nothing happened, I waited for the feel of my powers in my veins but there was no change. I sighed, I have lost my powers, I am not an angel anymore.

Well, what did you expect?

I don't even know where I am.

I looked around myself at the forest. Suddenly I stopped and stared at the meadow, flowers were surrounding me giving a wonderful fragrance. This is the same place where I first met him, I could never forget this place. I kneeled down on the grass touching flowers with my fingers, feeling its soft texture on my finger tips. I heard footsteps coming towards my way. I furrowed my eye brow in confusion, I thought I was alone here. 

"What are you doing in my territory unannounced?" I heard a familiar voice said from behind me which made me froze in my place. Tears gathered in my eyes and my vision started blurring. This is the same voice I wanted to hear many times but couldn't because he left me. I inhaled his intoxicating scent and a sob escaped from my lips. I slowly turned to look at him and gasped, there he stood in front of me in a normal clothes looking handsome as ever.

Lazarus.

I stared at his face and tear fell from my eyes. He frowned looking at me and quickly came beside me, his eyes same as I remembered ocean blue. Mate bond was cackling between us like a wild fire, I am certain that he can feel it too. "Are you hurt?" he asked worried looking at me searching for any wound. I slowly shook my head still in the state of shock.

I never thought I would see him again but he is standing in front of me looking more than real. 

"Then why are you crying?" he questioned.

"Lazarus" I whispered his name after centuries, he shivered hearing my voice. "How do you know my name?" he asked squinting at me. I frowned, does he not remember me. He stared at me waiting for me to say something but I was flabbergasted to even respond. "Ow" I murmured when a thorn pierced my finger, blood dripping from it. He quickly pulled a cloth from his pocket and tied it on my finger, tingle went through my body when he touched me. I admire him when he was tying the clothes , its been so long since I saw him. I missed him so much. 

"What do they call you?" he asked removing his hand away and sitting on the grass in front of me. I chuckled remembering the time when I first met him, this is the same scenario right now. The difference is only that he is in my place right now. So I played along with him "Thank you" I said indicating to the wound "My name is Rose" I answered him, his eyes widened but he quickly composed himself. 

"You are so beautiful" He said staring at me, this time he didn't murmured it under his breath. I blushed at the compliment and he chuckled looking at my red face. 

"Come on, you must be hungry with all the walking" he said standing up and dusting his  clothes, I followed suit and we started walking further in the forest. 

God gave me this chance for me to finally be with my mate after so many hardship. My heart filled with happiness being with my mate even if he doesn't remember me. 

I found my happy ending.  

"Where are we going?" I  wondered looking around watching the scenario. I can feel his eyes on me but I looked forward waiting. "Home" he replied making me smile .

Home it is.
