I was torn between if I should tell him the truth or make a believable lie. But either way, he will be in danger. Those soldiers would be here any minute and I can't fight them alone. 

This is insane.

I have to tell him the truth. "Any time now!" he said frown evident on his face. I sighed, here we go, "I am the Sabriyan Princess they were searching for" I said finally. He looked angry by my confession but didn't look surprised at all. "And?" he asked glaring now. "And they are here to kill me" I told him bluntly. His expression changed from anger to caution. 

"Why do they want to kill a Princess and What the hell is a Sabriya?" he asked curiously, his anger subsiding a little. Well now or never. I told him everything how there is different world, and I am a Princess in a Kingdom, How I killed lots of people thats why I am here as a punishment, why those soldiers wants me dead. "You are lying, aren't you. There is no such thing" he said in bewilder tone, stumbling a little with his words.

"This time I am telling you the truth" I said frantically looking at the front door.

They can be here anytime now.

"I have to go before they bargain here and attack us" I said still looking at the door again. There is no time. "And leave us in danger!" he said bitterly, his eyes blaring with hurt. My eyes widened in shock. I am thinking of saving them and here he is doubting me. 

Well you can't expect him to trust you after everything.

I inhaled deep breath ready to explain him. "They are after me, if I will be gone from here, your family would be save" I answered him in calming tone trying to comfort him. He looked like he is believing me but then he asked the question I didn't think he will. "What about you?" he said searching my eyes, the caring friend was back again. I slightly smiled at him "I will be fine" I assured him. 

I know I am in danger right now. They can kill me easily and if I heard about King Chase correctly he gonna torture me before finishing me off. But right now I have to think about him, this family. They have given me so much in this time span. They provided me home, food and most important thing love. I always thought that Humans are Selfish Bastards. But here my whole perspective is changed about them. They are better than many of us. "I will come with you" he said in determined tone. 

Is he crazy, he will die out there! 

"No" I said bluntly shaking my head. "They have already saw me, and they can come after me to get the information about you. Kayla and Mom will be in danger" he said, his tone concerned.  I frowned hearing that, He is right. But if he comes with me, he will be in danger. I can't do that. 

But that way Kayla and Bethany would be safe from the danger.

I was hesitant but we don't have time. "Okay then, lets go" I said finally after pondering over the thought. A smile crept on his face and he quickly went in the kitchen probably leaving a note for his family. Kayla and Bethany are not home right now. Last evening, they went to visit Kayla's grandparents. Kyle didn't want to go so he stayed behind. I was looking at the door anxiously. 

Hurry Kyle. 

Suddenly I heard rapid banging on the door and shouting. Shit. They caught up to us. I should have taken the locket from them. "What's happening?" Kyle said entering in the living room. "They are here" I said frustrated, cracking my knuckles. I have to do something. And I don't know how but the banging replaced by agonizing noise. Like somebody is beating someone. I gesture Kyle to go upstairs but he just shook his head denying my request. I groaned in annoyance. 

Why is he so difficult? 

Do hell with it. I took my fighting stance ready to fight even if I am no match for them. Then the door burst open breaking into multiple pieces. Dust flies around. I shield my eyes with my arm from the broken pieces. Kyle hide behind the couch. I remove my arm from my eyes looking at the front door. My face broke into huge grin when I saw who was standing in front of me. He smiled at me, his charming smile. I quickly ran towards him hugging him tightly. He hugged me back just as tightly. "I missed you so much" I murmured emotions swelling in me.

"If I were you, I would miss me too" he said cheekily breaking the hug. I rolled my eyes but smile nevertheless. My best friend is here with me. Now I can fight any force. Kyle came out from his hiding spot. He was looking at Caleb cautiously.

"Who is he?" Kyle said sizing him up. I raised my eye brow at his behavior. Caleb is no threat. I looped my arm through Caleb and walked towards Kyle. 

"My best friend Caleb" I said introducing him. 

Caleb bowed his head slightly in acknowledgment. Kyle raise his eye brow at this and then looked at me with slight smile. Must be remembering that I did the same thing when I came here first. "Hello, I am Kyle, Emerald's friend" he said introducing himself and forwarding his hand for shake. Caleb looked at it tilting his head in confusion. "What do you want me to do with that" he asked looking at him weirdly. "Never mind" Kyle said taking his hand back. "How did you find me" I asked confusion clearly visible on my face. "We never lost you to begin with" he smirked. 

What!  

I furrowed  "I don't understand" 

 "Well for the past six months we have been keeping eye on you" he explained. My eyes widened in shock. They did what. "Why the hell did you do that?" I said getting angry. "As you know that you are in danger and without any powers you won't be able to survive on your own" he said in obvious tone. I growled at him. I can't believe they did that. Now I feel foolish. He hold up his hand in defense "You know what I mean". I sighed knowing that he is right.

"Now what?" Kyle asked clearing his throat. Caleb raised his eye brow. "Now nothing, me and Em going to get out of here so that I can take her somewhere safe" he said straightforward. I coughed at his blunt reply. He doesn't know that Kyle is coming with us. "Well as you know Cal, Kyle is coming with us" I said sheepishly knowing he will flat out reject my decision. "Nope, thats not possible" Cal said shaking his head quickly. "No, he has to go because of me he is in danger now" I said feeling guilty. It happened all because of me. Cal groaned  "He will just slow us down". 

"I won't" Kyle said gritting his teeth.

"He won't" I said looking at him.

"I will take care of him" I said in serious tone. "Like you can take care of yourself" Cal muttered in annoyed tone. "What did you just say" I said fake glaring at him. "Nothing" he quickly replied. Idiot. I rolled my eyes at his childish behavior. "Where to?" Kyle asked finally looking at us. I looked at Cal in question. "Just follow me" he said taking my hand in his.

"No, no, no" I snapped looking at Cal frantically. "We are not going there" I said pointing to the mountain. He sighed looking at me annoyed. "Its the only safe place" he said in serious tone. I inhaled sharply, anger raising. 

"Baruna mountain" I yelled "We will die down there".

"Witch magic doesn't work there. It is the only safe place" he said again. "What about Kyle?" I said looking at him who was looking at the mountain with innocent look on his face. "His scent will drive them crazy" I stated the obvious. "Well its your fault that you carried him with us" Cal said irritated. "I am not arguing on this again" I muttered scowling at him. "There is only one option then" he said in thoughtful voice. "What is it?" I asked curiously. "We have to visit Melissa, she can give us portion to hide his scent" he said scrunching his nose at the idea. I mull over the idea for a bit. If we go to her, some one might recognize us, That can be problem but if we entered in the Baruna without any portion that it will attract those filthy creatures and we will definitely be in bigger problem. Both way are dangerous. What to choose. 

"If someone recognize us, we are done for" I said sighing feeling troubled. "They won't recognize you but I can't tell the same about me" he said looking smug. I rolled my eyes. Yeah he is right. I don't go out much that's why people won't recognize me but Caleb can be found at every get together and parties. "Whatever, lets just get it done" I said looking at Kyle who was busy admiring the mountains. From outside they looked beautiful like heaven. But as you entered there, you won't come out alive. Different types of creatures live there. Because it is the only place where magic is useless. Your own strength and wit can help you survive only. 

A shiver ran down my spine whenever I think about those mountains. "Kyle come on, we have to go" I called him, he looked mesmerized with the view. 

He doesn't know the truth of what type pf creatures lurking around there. 

He tore his gaze from the view and slowly jogged towards us. Caleb scoffed beside me. I don't know why but Caleb doesn't like Kyle and vice versa. "Where? I thought we are going in those mountains" he said again looking at the mountains admiring them. Whats with him. Why is he looking at them repeatedly. "We were but now we have to visit someone because of you" Caleb answered annoyed. I rammed my elbow in his stomach. "Ow" he yelped rubbing his abdomen. "What does he mean?" Kyle said confusion clearly shown on his face. "We have to visit a witch for a portion because without it we can't enter in this mountains" I said monotone glaring at Caleb. He rolled his eyes at me. At the word 'witch', Kyle eyes became huge. "Are they for real!" he asked in excited tone. I nodded smiling at his curious behavior. 

"This kid make me gag" Caleb muttered making gagging noise. "Shut up" I scowled at him, thumping on his forehead.

 "Whats his problem?" Kyle said glaring at Caleb. Caleb glared back at him.

 "You are my problem" he said bluntly. 

Why am I in the middle of this banter.

"We should go" I said finally. Both scoff at each other and turned their head in other direction. I sighed at them. So much for saving me.
