Rose P.O.V

"Lets play a game" I smirked, but from the inside I was seething in anger, She killed Lazarus and she will pay for it now.

"Rose" she stuttered backing away from me and toppled over from the couch falling on the ground, her body was shaking in fear.

She act really well. 

"One and only" I said standing up and walking towards her slowly, like I am stalking my prey.

Her death will be painful.

On second thought, I should torture her until she beg me to kill her.

"Alex" she yelled looking at the door anxiously and backing away from me. I laughed at her antics "No one going to listen love, I have already put a spell there" I said and sitting at the edge of table and watched her crawling away from me in fear.

"Drop your act now, no one is here to see you" I growled when she still stay on the floor whimpering. "What do you want from me?" she asked frightened but stopped her whimpers. I rolled my eyes, "You know what I want Alicia" I said folding my legs and creating fire around her. She jumped seeing the fire surrounding her, she slowly stand up and looked at me. With the flick of her wrist fire died down. I smirked, this is good, she is fighting back.

"How did you recognize me?" she asked dusting her clothes, fake fear and stuttering long gone.

Like I said, she is good in drama.

"It was easy, you reek of filth" I said coldly, she growled at me but stood in her spot. "You know you are wasting your time here, you can not defeat me and your Precious mate and his brother will come for my rescue" she said smugly, I laughed, so she has Alex wrapped around her fingers.

"What did you do with Alex?" I asked her pretending to act casual, I know how Alex means to Emerald and now that we are one, I can feel her emotion as clear as day. 

She smirked "Like you want to know".

"Oh I don't, I just ask to aggravate you" I replied, my eyes not displaying the lie I was speaking. I am very good at deceiving people. "Well, I think you know the answer to that" she said knowingly, well I do know what happened with him, she used a portion to control him. Its just that I thought Alex was smart enough to prevent this from happening.

"What ever, Its not like he will save you from your doom" I snarled, time has come for her destiny, her body shook a little in fear when she saw the look on my face. That made me internally smirk.

Her feared expression changed into smug one "Well, do you really peg me as fool" she said smirking at me, I rolled my eyes at her over confident. She has some ulterior motive behind this, why did she choose Alex?

Because he is a good fighter.

But he can't stand against me.

Or maybe because he is related to Chase and she want Chase to fight against me because he is the only one who can take my blows.

That cunning Witch.

"Well, it is non debatable" I said in careless tone, not showing that her words have effect on me. She ignored this or at least pretended too. 

Well I should start with the first stage now.

"It will hurt a ...lot" I said bluntly and suddenly I was in front of her, grabbing her throat in my hand and lifting her. She tried to claw my hand but I didn't feel any pain. She is weak, she just know how to play tricks behind the back.

"What happened now, no Witch stuff" I mocked her, squeezing hard, she couldn't mutter a spell now, she is on my mercy. "H-help" she stuttered, her face becoming blue with the lack of oxygen. Suddenly I dropped her when an arrow swiped past me grazing my cheek.

I glared at the interruption, Alex stood at the door with bow and arrow in his hand aiming at me. I rolled my eyes, she was stalling so that she could call her puppet.

She broke the spell as well.

Well, she is a Witch, what you expect from her.

"What the hell are you doing monster!" he shouted running towards his master quickly and taking her in his arm. I crossed my arms in front of my chest annoyed. He disturbed my play time. 

"I am doing you a favor" I said staring at them, she was wrapped around in his arms securely, I want to barf looking at the scene.

"Chase should have killed you" he growled glaring at me in hate, Alyssa looked at me smirking from under his arms. "You are making a grave mistake" I said bitterly when he glared at me, his weapon pointing in my direction. He scoffed "I made a mistake by not killing you", I gritted my teeth in irritation but slowly let it go. He is under her spell, he won't understand anything. 

"Are you still going to just stand there?" he yelled looking at the door, I felt his presence before he entered in the room. His eyes hold hurt when he took in the scenario in front of him. I stared at him, my eyes changing to their original color. 

"She tried to kill Alyssa" Alex accused me, I stood there without opening my mouth, I want to see if he sees the truth or not. Chase looked at me in the eyes, he was the same person I started falling for, his opinion matters to me. He is my mate.

"I can see that" he opened his mouth, his dark orbs not displaying any emotions. 

"S-she said, she will kill every one here, she is a monster" Alyssa said shuddering in fear, Alex hugged her closely to his chest.  

"And what are you Witch?" I snapped, tired of her acting, she is insufferable, I should just finish with her because I have others thing to do as well. She flinched from my voice and Alex glared at me hard. 

"Your eyes, they are green" Chase said incredulously, I nodded my head. He clenched his fist and his eyes flash, "What did you do?" he asked in deadly calm voice. I know he already joined the dots.

"I am her and she is me" I recite the line and I have heard numerous time in my dreams. He took a sharp intake of breath closing his eyes. "You shouldn't have done that" he said in pained voice. I shook my head "You won't understand".

He just looked at me wiping all emotion from his face, getting his sword out from its sheath. "You left me no choice" he said pointing the sword at me. A slow smile appeared on my face "I won't fight you" I said at last when I saw the look on his face.

He don't want to hurt me.

But his Kingdom safety is on stake here.

He looked confused for a second but shook his head looking at me with hard expression. "But I will" he said still standing in the same spot, staring at me. I waited for him to attack me but he didn't.

Me and him knows this very well that a sword can't beat me, he have to come in his beast form to do that. I don't think he want to fight me.

"Brother, do it, kill her, she is a danger" Alex said from behind him in furious voice. I rolled my eyes, she is putting words in his mouth. "Do it Chase, kill me" I whispered spreading my arms forward and waiting for the attack. He hesitated and that made my resolution absolute.

"Kill her" Alex yelled.

I gave a laugh "You lost the opportunity" I said, my wings spreading out of my back and I flew from the ground looking straight at Alyssa. I flew towards her and taking what I want. With the person in my arms, I blasted the ceiling and flying in the night sky. I made eye contact with Chase who was standing in the same spot, his grip tighten on his sword. I gave him one last smile and vanished from the view.

There was one question in my mind, why didn't he try to stop me?

Chase P.O.V

I looked at the sky watching her take the person that means a lot to me but I didn't try to stop her even for second. 

"Are you insane, you just let her get away with Alex" A voice yelled from behind me. I sighed and turned around to look at her. "Yes, I did, he would be safe with her" I snapped at the Witch, how dare she talked to me in disrespectful tone. She stared at me in frustration "She did something to you" she said coming towards me, I scoffed "Yeah right, like you poisoned my brother" I said tired for her tactics. She thinks so smart of herself but I am the King here. She looked taken a back by my declaration "What do you mean?" she asked tried to act confused which made me chuckle humorlessly.

"I know everything that happen in this Kingdom" I said or more like growled at her. She cower away from me. "I did all of this to save him" she said in concern but I saw past her act. I always thought that there was something suspicious with her. She is practically a royalty in Witch world and here she acted like a weakling. 

"From whom?" I asked just to humor her, I know everything. I was keeping tabs on Emerald from the moment she woke up, I knew Rose will come forward at some point to attack Alyssa and she got the chance today. I heard what they were talking in the library. She has done something to Rose in the past that's why Rose is hell bent on taking revenge. "You know from whom" she said looking towards the sky. "Yeah right" I said sarcasm dripping from my voice. Now its time to finish this madness.

"Guards" I yelled, in instance, ten guards gathered in the library. Alyssa looked confuse for a bit, I can't blame her, she thought she was playing her cards right. "Take her and lock her in the dungeon" I commanded them, they quickly abide to my command. Alyssa eyes widened in shock and she looked taken a back. 

"What is this King Chase?" she yelled tried to get away from the grip of guards. "It is what you think it is" I said looking at her in disgust, I would rather want to snap her neck right now but that won't do me any good. "You are hereby declare as a traitor because you plotted against us and tried to harm the Prince of this Kingdom" I announced blankly, she growled hearing that and tried to lung at me but guards got a hold on her before she done that. 

"Take her away" I said to the guards, she struggled in their arm when they took her away. "You are making a grave mistake King Chase, she is a monster and a monster can never feel" she yelled behind her. I ignored her and looked at the sky again. Emerald will take care of my brother, I just have to figure out a way to calm Rose down because this is far from over.
