Chase P.O.V

"What happened after that?" I asked curiously, from what I have heard she seemed like a great person. But she changed this much now that she wanted to destroy this entire world she helped in building. "I am not sure, there are so many stories about how she became evil" Alyssa said fidgeting with her fingers. I frowned, there must be truth somewhere, "What story have you heard?" I asked staring at her, she looked around nervously like she is afraid of something, "Tell us Alyssa" Alexander urged, by now everyone was listening to her attentively "Its just, the story I have heard is a little cruel" she murmured looking at the ground. "Tell away" I said wanting to understand the behavior of Rose's nature. "I heard that she fell in love with the man she found wandering in her home" she said.

"Lazarus, who she has attacked" Alexander confirmed and she nodded in response.

"Yeah, Lazarus, they were happy for a while living in bliss, she finally found someone who can complete the void in her heart, everything was going so well but like it said it was calm before the storm" she said her expression turning grave at end. "She left Baruna for some time because there was some kind of diseases spreading killing people and they needed her help, it took her year to stabilize the condition there, when she came back, Lazarus was nowhere to be find" I furrowed my brow, did he leave her without any reason?

"She was heartbroken, she searched for him everywhere but unable to find him. At last, she took a help from Witch to find her love, after so many efforts she finally found him and went there to get him. When she reached there, she saw her worst nightmare, her Love, her Lazarus was married to a witch and he had created a family with her" she continued, I pursed my lips joining the dots about what will happen afterward. "Feeling betrayal from the only person she loved, her heart filled with pain and anger and she killed every one there, not even sparing the little children. But she couldn't kill Lazarus even after this and he was crying holding the body of his dead children, Wife of Lazarus wasn't there that time but when she came back and saw the massacre, she cursed Rose to imprisoned forever in the Baruna but Rose was much powerful for the Witch to handle alone so the Witch asked helped from her Ancestors and cast away the power of Rose in Gem believing that Killing her was impossible. Rose beautiful white wings turned into coal black because of the curse, her heart filled with anger and more pain and she swore when she come back she will take the revenge on that witch. She helped these people leaving her life behind and in return they pay her back by doing this deed. She lived in Baruna for centuries after the curse trying to find the way to break it but not to avail. She tried using black magic which weakened her and she lived in that state for many years. After that every one slowly  forget about her and no one knows what happened" she said sighing. 

"Witch was cruel enough to hide the Gem in the Baruna which Rose can not hold herself because it was bewitched" She finished. 

"But the other day, you told us that Rose was pure evil and she wanted the powerful man as a mate so she killed the entire village" I said, she told us different story the other day and now she is telling something else. What to believe and what not.

Witch seemed startled for a bit for a second but she composed herself quickly "I told you, there are different version for her story, in some she is spawn of devil, in others she is the gift from the angels, its hard to say which version is true and which not" she said looking at all of us, her gaze finally met mine and she quickly averted her eyes away. 

What is the truth then? 

But I figured out what must have happened after that. Emerald came in this forest not knowing the danger and Rose latched on to her. She absorbed the spell knowing very well it will weaken her enough to kill her and Emerald was very important for most people. They won't let her die. She was the one who told Emerald to get the Gem because it was the only way to save her. She played tricks after tricks and we fell right through it. I chuckled humorlessly, clapping my hands. Alex looked at me in concern while others stared at me thinking I am going mad.

"She played us well" I said, my face hardened again. "But I have had enough now, We have to stop her before she engulfed this whole world" I stated , "We are going back to the Kingdom to ready our troops, Take William's body with you" I said to Caleb, he nodded and walked towards the body.

"What are you suggesting brother?" Alexander asked walking beside me, I glanced at him "She wants war, we will give it to her" I replied looking forward staring at the creatures who were in the hiding. But I could clearly see them. I want to kill those creature to release my pent up anger and frustration but it would do me no good. I have to think rationally with my mind. "You saw what she can do, you are still going to march at her front door" he said raising his eye brow, "We all saw what she can do, but does she know what I can do" I replied bluntly and he stopped asking question after that. I walked out of the Baruna and saw Annalise sitting on a stone clutching her chest, tears straining her face. I sighed and quickly walk to her. 

"I told you to go home" I said but she didn't respond. "Annalise" I called again loudly, she shook her head "He is gone, isn't he?" she murmured, her voice pained. I sat beside her and took her in my arms "It will be alright" I muttered trying to sooth her pain. She pushed me away and stood up "What happened to him?" she asked wiping her tears, I stood up as well, debating about how to tell her. I went for the truth "Rose took over Emerald's body and killed him" I replied without showing any emotion. She glared at me "And you did nothing!" she accused glaring at me with hatred, I just stood there staring at her. "Tell me, why didn't you do anything just because she is your mate" she said bitterly, I clenched my jaw stopping myself to say anything to her. "Oh, yeah, I forget, you can't harm your mate because she will give you an heir" she yelled pointing her index finger at me. I stood there staring at her, she pushed at my chest "Say something" she yelled pounding on my chest, but I stood their like a brick because she is partially right, I could have saved him if I had responded early but I never thought she would do something like that. Alexander who was standing a little away from me came and stood beside me holding remorseful expression. "He couldn't have done anything, it happened so fast" he try to justify the situation. I shook my head at him.

Let her pain out.

He looked at me grimly, but nodded his head. Suddenly she looked past me and ran in that direction. I turned around and saw Caleb carrying William body with Katherine and Alyssa following him. She stood in front of Caleb and looked at William body sorrowfully, her body shaking as more tears fell down from her eyes. I watched the scene unfold in front of me as Annalise cried over her mate body. She claimed that she didn't feel anything for her mate but I knew better. She was slowly accepting the mate bond. She lied in the game we were playing because as she can gave mental pain to others, she can also defend herself from the pain, I saw that in her eyes. She felt something for him but she wasn't accepting the fate because William was in love with Emerald. I turned away from them. "She need to mourn for him, let her stay in Sabriya for a bit" I said for everyone to hear. "But Sabriya is our enemy for ages" Alex pondered. 

"They will understand, they have to" I replied staring at Annalise.

Rose P.O.V

I looked at the Giant door in front of me smirking. "Princess, you came back!" Derek, the gate keeper said coming towards me but he halt in his steps realizing something "You are not our Princess, what did you do to her?" he asked staring at me furiously. I just gave him a wave "Hello to you too Derek, well as you see Emerald is sleeping for a bit" I said closing the distance and walking to him. He put his sword out pointing at me. "When she wake up then come back here, now go" he said frowning, I rolled my eyes, "But you see Derek, I came all the way from the Baruna just to meet your King" by hearing the name of Baruna, his eyes widened "Get out of here before I throw you out" He glared at me, I huffed "You don't have respect for your soon to be Queen". 

"You are not our Princess" he replied. 

"You are right, I am not your Princess but I am your soon to be Queen" I said smiling at him, he looked confused for a second and I took advantage of the moment and quickly walking behind him and taking his neck in my arm "And I don't like people who disrespect me" I whispered in his ears and snapped his neck before he could understand anything. I sighed "Was it so hard" I muttered and opened the Giant door walking into Sabriya. I teleported to the throne room directly not wanting to waste my time in fighting useless warrior and killing them when they will try to stop me. King Steve was sitting on his throne talking to one of his ministers.

"My Greetings to King Steve" I said loudly bowing my head dramatically, King Steve looked towards me confused for a moment and realization dawn on his face as he quickly stood up from his seat. "Rose, what are you doing here?" he asked staring at me alert when his eyes went to my blooded hands.

Oh, I forget to clean William blood from my hands, my bad.

"Well Daddy dearest, I won't harm you and your Kingdom, if you just simply answer my few questions" I stated calmly and walked towards him standing in the middle.

"What happened to Emerald, did she lose control again, Did she have her powers back" he asked instead. I sighed in annoyance, I don't like when some one answer my question with a question. "She is fine, she got her power back and no she didn't lose control infact she is sleeping in here" I said tapping at the side of my head. "Why are you here then?" he asked frowning "And who did you kill?" he asked pointing to my hands.

"You ask too many question" I grumbled "But for your information, I just killed William and snapped your Gate keeper neck" I said smirking when his eyes widened in shock. He put his hand on his sheath to bring his sword out. I shook my head "Don't do that, it will result in me killing you and I don't want to kill you Father yet" I said casually, he slowly removed his hand from its sheath and sighed "What do you want to know?" he muttered in defeated tone.

I chuckled "Now we are talking".

"Where is Cassandra? I asked taking a seat in front him, whole throne room was vacant, minister who he was talking before ran away as soon as he saw me. I smirked feeling soldiers lining up outside the throne room to attack on King Steve command.

Delusional people. 

King Steve was sitting opposite of me staring at me, his whole focus was on me, his body was rigid in tension. I can understand, he is worried that I will kill everyone here, Well that's the plan if they don't cooperate with me.

"Why do you want to know?" he asked instead, I made a 'tsk' noise "Only I will be the one asking question here" I said, his face hardened at this but he said nothing. Good. for him. "I ask again, where is Cassandra nowadays?" I repeated my question in clear voice. "I don't know" he shrugged, I raised my eyebrow "What do you mean you don't know, she is your sister" I said annoyed, my hands itching to snap something. William blood is still on my hand reminding me how I have killed him. He was irritating me thinking that he know so much about me. And I was eager to use the power running in my veins. He happened to be there at that time so I killed him without any remorse and many people are going to die, I just have to do few things first. "That doesn't mean that I always know about her whereabouts, she is head witch of her coven, they changed the places for their safety not even their loved one know about that if they are not in the coven" he explained further. I sighed "That means coming here was useless" I muttered standing up from my seat, he stood up as well following me. "So, you will go away?" he asked hopefully, I snickered "Well, I won't want to waste my visit coming here for nothing" I replied smiling, he frowned "What are you implying?" he said confused.

"I am saying, why not destroy your Kingdom when I am here" I said, fire running in my hands, I created a ball of fire to blast this place.

"Good bye Daddy Dearest" I chuckled.
