"I am the Princess of Sabriya, The Warrior Princess" I confessed staring at him nervously, if he is reacting about me being Rose like that, I don't know how will he digest this information. Like I expected, his mouth fell open and eyes widened in astonishment, he kept staring at me for a while, this is making me more nervous.

"Say something?" I asked at last when he kept gawking at me,  "Wow" he finally opened his mouth with one syllable, raising my eyebrow in response I waited for him to say something more, which he did. "I couldn't grasp my mind around that you are Princess of Sabriya, well you are every bit capable but I heard a lot about her that how she defeated Raven and helped that Kingdom, those people still talk about you in appraisal" he started telling me about myself,  I remember that one, Raven was cunning bastard, he forcefully entered in the kingdom and killed their King and Queen, forcing people from the Kingdom to be his slave, he called himself Mighty King, when my father heard about this, he sent me there to help them and well I did help and rest is history.

"Yeah" I hummed in response, A smile threatened on his face "I always wanted to meet you, but being in the enemy Kingdom didn't help, you know" he said which made me chuckle, Well its true if by any chance we would have meet, it will surely be in the battle field. "Well, here I am in flesh" I said opening my arm in fake pose, it made him laugh "Yes, you are"

I somber up when I remembered real problem is Chase here. "You are not going to tell this to Chase, are you?" I had to ask just to be sure. He quickly shook his head "Absolutely not, if he finds out you are the daughter of the man who killed our Father, mate or not, he will make sure you won't get any mercy" he said, his tone serious, my eyes widened in shock, I never knew Father killed Chase's father, he never talked about Midnight Kingdom at all. "My father killed your Father!!" I was out of words, Chase shouldn't find out about my identity because if someone killed my father I would have definitely took the revenge.

"You never knew?" he asked confused, I nodded my head in confirmation, why would I lie when he knew my identity. "Whoa" he breathed, "You father never did tell you, I always thought he gloat about his win every time" this made me growl, "Don't you dare say a word about my father or I will forget who you are" I threatened him, nobody disrespect my father and get away with it. He started chuckling and raised his hand in surrender "You are being worked up about this small thing, think if Chase find out what he will do" he said, I huffed and started walking to the exit , "Hey, I am not finished yet" he yelled following after me, I shrugged "But I am" With that said, I walked away from there.

After the training, my body was in pain, it seems like that I have fought a war alone. It never happened to me before, I am feeling exhausted, I didn't even feel this way when my powers were taken away from me. Its feel like my body is shutting down slowly, I inhaled to control my labored breathing, I was fine just a moment ago, now its feel like I am going to passed out any second. I slowly walked towards my room holding the wall as a support.

What the hell is happening to me?

Suddenly my legs gave out and to protect myself from face planting to the floor, I hold the wall and slide out, finally sitting on the floor leaning on the wall. My vision was blurry and I felt lightheaded. I tried to even out my breathing but it was exhausting right now, panic erupted in the pit of my stomach, just then I heard footsteps and some one sliding beside me "What happened to you?" I can hear panic in his voice but using my voice became a tedious task so I tried to shake my head. "Come on" he lifted me in his arms, I groaned when pain shot through my body because of the sudden movement. 

"Everything will be fine" his voice sounded in my ear, he was trying to assure me. And then I heard another foot steps and then "Emerald, Wake up, She was just fine a moment ago" Alex said confusion clearly evident in his voice. "What happened to her!!!" Chase snapped, his voice ringing in my ear, I groaned again and tried to open my eyes which was shut close in pain. "Nothing, we were training and then have a casual conversation" Alex said, "She trained with you!!" he yelled making me yelp, he groaned lowly and inhaled sharply. "We will talk about it later" with that I lost consciousness.

"What is wrong with her?" I heard angry voice, I couldn't pin point to whom it belongs. My head was swirling with pain, it feels like some one took hammer and busted my head with it. "I already told you what is wrong with her, you can't keep delaying it" this time a female voice said, I wanted to open my eyes and see who is having a conversation because I knew this much that 'her' they are talking about is me, but my eyes are closed shut, glued. I groaned moving my hands to rub my head to soothe some pain. "She getting consciousness" some one said hurriedly and then I felt some one rubbing my head, by how fast my heart was pumping because of the touch, I instantly knew it was Chase. I opened my eyes with much effort and slowly they flew open, it was blurry at first. I blinked multiple times to get my sight adjusted, I felt weak, more weak than usual. "W-Water" I stammered, my throat feeling dry. Just then a glass touched my lips and I quickly drank the water from the glass feeling relief to my sore throat. I looked around my surroundings, its the same room I woken up today, this time the girl Alyssa was with Chase and Alex. Both Alex and Alyssa looked worried on the other hand Chase looked angry.

Why is he always in pissy mood.

"Why does it look like to me that I am in big trouble" I tried to smile just to rid the tension in the room, Alex cracked a smile which made my smile wider besides Chase looked like he wanted to rip someone's head off. "You have to tell her now" Alyssa said sternly which made Chase growled in response but she only rolled her eyes at his behavior, If I wasn't this confused, I would have laughed but I can sense the tension in the air. Suddenly the tension I was feeling increased when Chase looked at me, his face said it all. It was filled with anger, frustration but beneath all of it, I can see worry lacing directed towards me. 

"We have to go Baruna mountains" he said staring into my eyes, his eyes pool of black pit, shining like black diamond in the light. I was thoroughly confused, why is he worried for me. Then my ears pick up the word he said. Did he say BARUNA MOUNTAINS. Why does he want to go there. Did he find something about me. I bit my lips nervously, did he figure out I was planning to run away from here to Baruna. 

"Why do you want to go there and most important, Why am I needed there?" I asked pretending to be confused but on the inside I was suspicious and there was a little hope there because maybe just maybe I will get my powers back. 

He inhaled sharply "Because I said so" he snapped folding his bulging muscles in front of his chest, I rolled my eyes in annoyance,  "I would like to pass" I sassed, the pain I was feeling was subsiding slowly and I can move my body with little pain, I move myself in sitting position taking my time while Chase glared at me, Alex chuckled and I saw Alyssa was trying to hide her smile. 

"That was not an option, as my prisoner I was commanding you" He smirked to which I chuckled dryly, Prisoner my Ass. "For your kind information Your Majesty I was no longer a prisoner of yours from the time when I defeated your soon to be Queen"  I replied coolly half smirk evident on my face but on the inside I was fuming. The glare returned on his face again in high intensity making my smirk widened. 

"Stop it you two" Alex interrupted our staring contest, I shrugged my shoulder looking at Alex innocently "I am not doing anything".

"Yes you are , you are delaying us from going to Baruna with your useless conversation" he said pointedly looking at me, "Why would I want to go there willingly" I being the stubborn one. They should give me one good reason to be with them. I would better go there alone without any extra baggage. 

"You are dying" Chase yelled all of a sudden making me freeze in shock, I looked at him "Is this good enough reason for you" he snapped coldly, I wasn't believing  this . He can lie to me for all I care. I looked at Alex to confirm that this is all a ploy but when I looked at him, his expression said it all. Alyssa looked somber as well.

All the pain , my slow healing, Rose leaving me, It all made sense now.

My eyes widened in shock.

 I am dying

I will be dead 

This is all fucking messed up.

"How is that happened?" I wanted to know, how can this be possible, I was healthy days ago and now I am dying all of a sudden. It still look like a big lie to me but I cannot deny my decreasing health. Then Alyssa explained to me how Rose leaving  led me to it because now the spell is spreading in my body like a branch wrapping around a tree. Rose was the only one who was stopping the spell spreading to my body. Now I have no one.

Find the Gem

Just then I remembered Rose saying to find the Gem. She must have known that It will all come to this. I have to go Baruna if I want to save myself from this fate.

"I need some alone time" I said still in shock with the whole ordeal and sighing in frustration. "But-" I stopped Alex from further speaking, I don't want to talk to any one right now, I just want to be alone. I closed my eyes sighing, when I opened them, they were all gone and the door was closed.

Finally some privacy.

I was feeling numb, my mind couldn't digest this news. 

First Will disappearance,

Then Rose destroying this Kingdom,

I am getting banished from my home,

Loosing my powers,

Being chased around by Chase's soldiers,

Getting kidnapped by him and treated like a prisoner,

Now top it all, I am dying 

This is making my head burst out and finally I screamed in frustration to let it all out. My voice was so loud that I was sure, everybody in the Castle could hear it. My body was shaking and I let them out, I finally let all the frustration, anger, sadness, being helpless through the tears that were cascading down from my eyes like a waterfall, sobs started erupting from my body, my vision was blurred, I let them all out.

"I never thought you are that easy to break" 

I stopped crying looking at my surroundings, there stood Chase staring outside the window standing casually, I quickly wiped my cheeks embarrassed that he saw me at my worst. 

"What are you doing here, I thought I said every one to leave me alone" I said harshly, and tried to swallow the lump in my throat. He walked towards me without saying anything and stood up in front of me "I told you this is my Kingdom and even if you are not my prisoner anymore, you are in my chamber" he smirked and sat in front of me. My eyes rounded His chamber,

"I guess, I should go then" I said in small voice, all fight leaving my body, "You don't have to, we are going to Baruna today so you can rest a little more beside you need rest after you outburst" his voice hold no malice, it was being said in normal tone. I was confused to say the least.

"Why do you want to help me?" I asked finally, I was being mean to him from the start, always defying his orders and here he is, still wanted to help me and here I thought he was cold hearted King.

"Don't get your hopes up that I am helping you because I am kind, I want my heir and you are the only source" I guess I spoke too soon.

I sighed, we will see about that.
