After a good night's sleep, you were just getting up as the sun was hardly even up yet. If you were going to be travelling on foot, you wanted to leave extra early.

You didn't own an alarm clock, but luckily there was a certain species of bird that chirps SUPER loud at this time. It always woke you up.

Of course there are times where you absolutely hate those birds, but you often use them as your own alarm to get up in cases such as this one.

Greeting the day with a good stretch, you got up from bed and started to pack your stuff. It didn't take long since there wasn't much to pack. Just whatever clothes you had, and your most prized position.

A small orange orb with a singular star in the Center. It was a gift from an old lady from a nearby village. She didn't know what to do with it, but she decided to give it to you.

Being the lonely guy you were, it meant a lot to you. And you'll never forget the words she told you before she placed the orb in the palm of your hand.

Y/N: ..."Whenever you're drained of hope or lost, hold this ball. It will guide you."...

And it did just that. Whenever you grasped this orb tightly, you would be filled with an indescribable feeling. Almost as if someone was there by your side.

With that you placed the ball in your pocket and packed your stuff in a really large backpack. Closing the door behind you and bowing in the four traditional directions before heading out.

Y/N: Alright! Union City, here I come!

Time Skip

A few hours had passed by and you still had quite a bit of a way to go before you would be even close to the city.

Usually when you left home you took a path that had been there long before your time. However since you were in somewhat of a hurry to get there, you travelled by leaping to different treetops.

It took quite the precision to land perfectly on a tree each time and jump back off not even a second after, just to repeat the cycle. It was giving you a bit of a workout since you had never done it for this long before.

However thankfully the sun was fully risen meaning you could see well into the distance. Nothing but trees and more trees as far as you could see.

Y/N: Man, it's at times like these where I hate living so far from society...

As time went by you were starting to grow bored, and your legs were starting to become sore. However above all else, you had completely forgotten to pack any kind of breakfast before leaving.

*Grumble*

Y/N: Crap...I forgot to eat something before I left...I'm so hungry I could eat one of these trees...

All of a sudden the ground started to rumble as you were thrown off by this and fell of a tree. Landing back on the pathway as the ground continued to shake and rumble.

Y/N: Okay now I know that isn't my stomach...

In the midst if the forest, you could see a massive creature approaching the area. Squinting to get a better look in the distance, it was a gigantic Dinosaur.

You've encountered Dinosaurs before, but you had never crossed paths with one this big before. You were pretty sure that you wouldn't be able to take it alone, and with where you headed, you didn't have the time to test your luck.

Unfortunately for you, the massive prehistoric animal had spotted you trying to make an escape. The beast let out a ghastly roar before sprinting your direction.

Y/N: Oh Jeez!! 

With that you started to run the opposite direction of the Dinosaur while still following the pathway. For it's size, it was quite fast.

Y/N: Damn!

You then looked back to see it's gaping maw moving in your direction. You just barely managed to avoid being caught in it's sharp teeth by jumping forward.

You went wide eyed and gritted your teeth in a panic as The Dinosaur then tried to trap you between it's jaws once again. With it missing once more.

You were starting to get frustrated with this dinosaur as you growled, turned around, and suddenly leaped towards the hulking beast and punched it in the nose.

You were surprised to see that your attack had little to no effect at all. With the Dinosaur practically mocking you at this point by turning around and smacking it with it's tail.

Given the size of the creature and the weight of it's tail, it was more than enough to send you flying down the path way.

You bounced and rolled into the dirt as The Dinosaur then continued running at you.

Slowly but surely you managed to pick yourself up from the ground as the Dinosaur only for closer with each second.

Y/N: Damn it! I have places to be! So just...LEAVE ME ALONE!!!

You suddenly started emitting wind pressure to effect a good chunk of the forest. Letting out a hearty scream as The Dinosaur stopped and even went wide eyed at this.

It didn't take too long before you were rocking the whole place like a hurricane. The Dinosaur at this point became frightened and simply retreated.

However you were still screaming and shaking the entire area. Pouring out power uncontrollably with nobody to restrain you.

That was until the cries of somebody else could be heard in the distance.

???: HEY! CALM DOWN!!

Trees were nearly coming out of the ground as you were then hit in the back of the head with something. With the sound it made it seemed to be metal, or a similar material.

With that your Giant storm was then put to an end as you fell to the ground in both shock and pain. Holding your head as you grunted with discomfort.

Y/N: Grah...!! Why?!

???: Are you okay...? You were screaming really loud...

Now realizing that you weren't alone, you flipped yourself over and faced this stranger who held their hand out as an offer to help you up.

You looked at them for a second before hesitantly taking their hand. With them pulling you up back on your feet, you managed to get a better look at them.

Y/N: Yeah. I'll be alright. Thanks for...whatever just happened...

???: Don't mention it! Oh! I almost forgot! My name's Ruby! Ruby Rose!
