Chapter 6
Tiny stood by himself with his clan. He had asked Greystar if he could move his clan to a seperate part of the forest, the tom had agreed and Tiny had a small camp set up for them.
He had been drastically effected by the awakening of Scourge in his mind. Instead of being like the others where he was being controlled by the spirit that he hosted, Scourge was a physical illusion that only he could see.
He looked like a black shadow with his white paw glowing with blinding light. Tiny didn't understand why it glowed when the rest of him was as black as a starless night.
Scourge circled him silently and Tiny ignored him to supervise the two dens being made by his warriors. Smear had dissapeared some time ago.
The small black tom found it hard to keep track of time for some reason. He finally eyed the darker, bigger, figure of himself. Was this spirit the reason he wasn't feeling like himself? Was he trying to toy with him?
Tiny was going to speak up to the ghost but paused as he realized how insane he would look if he started talking to something his clanmates couldn't see.
"Tim, I am going to go meet with Greystar to ask him something. Make sure everything here continues." Tiny ordered. Tim looked up at his leader and nodded.
With that the Bloodclan leader left and walked into the forest with the shadow still stalking him. He felt uneasy, as if he were being viewed as prey by Scourge's ghost.
Only when he was sure he was far enough away that his clanmates couldn't hear him did he stop to address Scourge.
"What do you want?" Tiny demanded. Scourge stopped circling him. His ear twtiched and he turned to look at Tiny.
"I want this body.. but Firestar wont let me take it..." Scourge admitted. He sat down and narrowed his eyes at his host. Tiny mimicked him and they just barely looked like reflections of each other.
"Why do you want to possess me? The prophecy that Leaffern or Dovewing, whatever she wants to be called, told me didn't involve you. It said I and Greystar would watch a bloody battle, not Scourge and Greystar..." Tiny said. Scourge chuckled.
"What if we are the same? No difference, equals of the mind?" Scourge asked. Tiny frowned.
"I am not a cold blooded murderer." Tiny said. Scourge chuckled.
"Yet what does my Bloodclan do now to survive? What will you be doing during this upcoming "bloody battle"? You will be murdering warriors you know nothing about. Look at you now, working with cats you don't know." Scourge taunted. Tiny growled.
"Yet you were the one who stupidly partnered himself with the one who caused you to go down a dark path." He retorted. The shadow hesitated with a reply. It had hit him deeply.
"The enemy of my enemy is my friend." Scourge said after a while. Tiny smirked at him.
"You only created more enemies by killing Tigerstar on the spot. You're foolish. I'm not like you at all." Tiny shot back. Scourge grinned.
"We have many differences but look now, you're taking pleasure in making me look bad. You left out my greater accomplishments. I killed Firestar, even if Starclan brought him back. I nearly took over that forest and I had a clan at my back." Scourge said. Tiny shot up and shook his head.
"This clan was never at your back! You ruled through fear and cruelty! Even if you gave refuge you didn't care for them! If I am you then I am the better you, the improved you. I will not be a tyrant to my clanmates. I am their leader, not their master." Tiny snarled. Scourge nodded slowly. The white of his paw slowly crept a little further up his shadowed body.
"I hope you continue to create a new reputation for Bloodclan..." Scourge said.
"I will come to you again when I feel it is right. Maybe for more talks of greatness." Scourge said before dissipitating. Tiny blinked and looked around him. What did he mean when he would "feel it is right"?
Tiny walked to the Thunderclan camp. He wasn't looking forward to seeing Scourge again.
