Chapter 14
Mapleshade and Snowtuft had trekked through Thunderclan territory to the camp. They had been on the look out for the medicine cat apprentice as they stalked around the rim of the camp.
"How are we going to do this?" Snowtuft asked from behind Mapleshade. The dark spirited she-cat kept her gaze downward to watch what she could see of the clearing. There were a few warriors walking around and a large pack of cats she could guess were the Shadowclan rebels.
"This is tricky..." She muttered at first, pausing in her tracks as something caught her eye. Snowtuft walked up beside her and caught a glimpse of what she saw as well. The one blind eyed she-cat was leaving the camp with two toms.
"This is our chance then. How lucky." Mapleshade said as the three cats left the camp. She turned to Snowtuft.
"Now stop standing here like you have a mouse brain! Go find Goldensky. Meet me outside the camp by the lake." Mapleshade hissed. Snowtuft didn't hesitate and took off to travel further around the camp. Mapleshade had spotted her target long ago and now that the apprentice was gone she had her opportunity.
She leapt down into the camp. Being a spirit had its advantages. She walked with full confidence to Runningwish who had been by herself watching the camp entrance. No doubt thinking about Sunscar. All Mapleshade did was walk into Runningwish's body.
Runningwish shivered and shook violently, her legs unable to hold her up, and collapsed. She went wide eyed at the experience. She tried to get up but realized she couldn't. The tabby was confused and frightened. What was happening to her?

Goldensky sat alone. Tigertooth still held distaste for her secret and refused to be near her. It broke her heart and she had been secretly dwelling in her sorrow. She watched him march about the camp, receiving glares and untrusting looks from their birth clan.
Goldensky held a saddened gaze as she watched the clan. Her mother had been almost indifferent with her return but she atleast came and asked her if she was well. After that she hadn't said a word and left her alone.
Goldensky felt sick with her own self-pity. Everything in her told her to stop feeling so dragged down but she couldn't. Tigertooth seemed to despise her and it was as if she were a stranger to her clan.
She sighed. All she would tell herself is she deserved it for leaving with a traitor.. but for some reason she couldn't come to regret it.
Snowtuft stalked down into camp with his gaze strictly locked onto the gold she-cat. He watched her. Her head was low and he could tell her heart was heavy. Snowtuft growled to himself in warning. He wouldn't care what weighed this she-cat down. He had orders from Thistleclaw and he would not risk failure.
He alligned himself with Goldensky's body and she too shivered violently to his possession.
