"You are welcome in ThunderClan" Kestrelflight the medicine meowed to Cloudstars mate.
"Thank you" Birdflight responded. Cloudstar stared at his mate. At Birdflights feet, two kits meweled. His kits. Birdflights kits.
"You're not actually leaving me, are you?" he asked.
"Yes Cloudstar. I'm leaving you for the safety of our kits." Birdflight said " I will miss you." Then Kestrelflight spoke, "We must be going." Birdflight nudged Cloudstar with her muzzle then turned carrying her kits with her. Cloudstar watched her till her tailtip was not seen through his eyes "Goodbye Birdflight." he whispered. He called for his clanmates and lead them from the gathering. "StarClan has betrayed us!" he yowled.

Cloudstar thundered through the forest in a rage, clan close behind. "there will always be 5 clans in the forest"  the words of his starclan ancestor echoed through his head. Lies. Cloudstar angrily shook the words from his head. A sudden yowl brought Cloudstar to a stop
"What?" he questioned and looked at the surrounding cats.
"A gorge" mewed the medicine cat Fawnstep. Cloudstar pushed ahead where Fawnstep stood. A gorge and potential home stood before him. 'hmmm' he thought 'close to the clans forest but far from twolegs'
"Buzzardtail, Mousefang, lead a patrol with a choice of your cats and investigate that gorge. This may be our next home." Cloudstar flicked his tail and the two cats set to work. Cloudstar turned to Fawnstep and mewed "Go and see if you can find some herbs. Even if this won't be our home, we'll need them"
"Yes Cloudstar." Fawnstep dipped her head and set off.

"Cloudstar!" Buzzardtail called "The gorge is perfect!"
"Really?" Cloudstar asked in anticipation
"Yes" Mousefang answered dipping her head.
"lets waste no time in getting it ready! Warriors, lets go!"
