Chapter 21
Seasonpaw sighed and forced herself to get out of the medicine den. She was allowed to for now, and her wings were slightly hot, and they had leaf bandages on them. She turned to Peppermint. "Errr. . . Let's go and train." She said. Peppermint slightly nodded, still a bit concerned. They padded off to a large clearing, inside it was a giant toast embedded into the ground. "Woah..." Seasonpaw gaped at the large piece of bread.
"This, my apprentice, is the Toast Square. This is where apprentices train, the toast isn't edible, but it's fun for apprentices to spar on." She smiled, remembering her days when she had been an apprentice too. "Feeling the soft crust would make you feel... Determined." Peppermint said, and jumped onto it, Seasonpaw following. The toast made her feel exited. "Alright, we'll be going hunting today. Since the pile is almost full, we could go and catch atleast two pieces of prey." She explained, and padded off to where they would be hunting.
Peppermint scanned the riverbank with her green eyes, and saw a duck on the marshmallow rocks. The rocks were stubby, and they were white, which made a good hiding spot for white cats. Sometimes, it even looked like snow, which would confuse others. "Alright.. The ducks here like to swim in that vanilla river, so go on and wait until it dives in." She watched the duck carefully. "To catch ducks, go and pounce onto it. Remember not to miss, or else it'll fly away. Now, you bite a wing, and rip it off. Then, you bite the throat." She explained, as Seasonpaw nodded and watched the duck dive into the vanilla river, unaware of them.
She then pounced onto the duck quickly, before it could scent her, and the pounce made them pounce into the river. She knew instantly this was normal, and so she bit off a wing quickly. She then dove up, kicking the duck into the ground once more, before it could get up, but it had escaped from her paw, so she instantly bit it's throat. She shook the duck, making it dry and some if it's feathers fall off. She brought the prey to Peppermint, who smiled and got a twig and implanted it into the ground. She took the duck, and stuck the body into the twig, like a twoleg putting it's food on a stick.
"You're a natural." Peppermint smiled, "Now try doing a hunter's crouch. Make sure your tail is still, and keep your haunches up when hunting." She informed, then let Seasonpaw do a hunter's crouch. Seasonpaw did as told, keeping her haunches up, tail still, and body low. Peppermint observed very carefully, and nodded. "Now try catching that vole over there, pounce onto it and do a bite to the neck." She pointed to a vole, a fox length far from them. Seasonpaw unsheathed her claws, and stalked up to it. She pounced at the right moment, and did a swift bite to the neck, ending it's life to get eaten. She went back to Peppermint, careful nit to step on a twig.
"Good! Now let's bring our catch to camp." Peppermint smiled, waiting for Seasonpaw to pack the prey, and then started talking once again. "Tomorrow, you'll be battle training with Hollypaw." She said, and padded back to camp. She looked up. "It's noon, you sure you don't need rest? Remember what Rainleaf said." Peppermint looked at Seasonpaw. Seasonpaw shook her head, and padded over to Hollypaw. "So.. I heard you were battle training with me.." Seasonpaw said. "Yeah. I'm so exited!" Hollypaw smiled, her green eyes filled with excitement.
"Today, I caught two mice." Hollypaw looked at her catch on the Fresh Kill pile. She was proud. "Well, I caught a duck and a vole." Seasonpaw pointed to her catch. She smiled. "Cool!" Hollypaw exclaimed, looking at her wing. "You okay? The bandage isn't there.." She looked at Seasonpaw. "Of course-"
Wait, the bandage! Seasonpaw looked at her wing.
"It must've washed iff when I caught the duck..." Seasonpaw smiled, her wings had cooled down a little, making her feel better. "Okay! Hey, is Emberpaw-" Hollypaw was cut off, as Emberpaw slid in roughly between the two, making them groan in anger. "So, I heard you passed out? From muscle tension? Pathetic. A true CandyClan cat could withstand a Hyper Energy." She snickered, watching Seasonpaw stand up.
"Oh look, night.." Seasonpaw muttered, not feeling in the mood for a conversation anymore, she padded over to the apprentice's den. Hollypaw glared at Emberpaw, fury in her eyes. They may look innocent, but they were as angry as a very hungry cat getting their prey stolen from a loner. Her tail was also about to fire up, but she was able to control herself and sighed.
Hollypaw padded off to the apprentice's den, and growled at how Emberpaw's nest was between hers and Seasonpaw's. She thought about cuddling her friend, but she thought Seasonpaw must be very angry. She slept and fell into a deep sleep, and so did Seasonpaw.

Seasonpaw wasn't in StarClan. She didn't see anyone from it, either. No, she was in a dark forest, one that looked like it was about to fall and crumble into pieces. It was rotten. She realized where she was, and expected a Dark Forest cat to come padding over to her, but she saw no cat at all. She called out. "Hello?" No cat came out. The only thing she could see was the forest infront kf her, but she didn't want to go into it.
She felt like she just needed to stay there. She finally felt it.
She felt a cat behind her, a she cat.
She turned to face her. "Why, hello..." The she cat smiled. Looking from her pelt, Seasonpaw could tell it was a tortoiseshell.
The voice was familiar, and Seasonpaw heard it, she froze. It was the voice.
From her other dream.
Seasonpaw couldn't move now.
